Third Person's POV

"Sunghoon? What's wrong—ow"

Sunghoon was gripping his hand too tight. The hand with 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘴.

Reaching the garden, they went to the farthest corner. Sunghoon turned to him.

"What happened to you?"

Jake furrowed his eyebrows.

'He's okay last night. What happened?'

"What do you mean? Nothin—"

"Don't lie to me. What's wrong with you?"

Sunghoon took steps forward, Jake backing out.

"What are saying?"

"Don't act like you don't know it Jake. Tell me. What happened?"

Sunghoon placed his hands on Jake's both side, trapping him. Jake tried to avoid his gaze but he can't.

Sunghoon was too close. Gathering his courage, he met his stares. Surprise to see something.

'Why is his eyes turning 𝘨𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘥?'

"What's with—"

"Answer me Jake! What happened to you!"

Jake flinched.

"Why are you raising your voice?"

"Because you won't tell me what happened!"

"Nothing happened Sunghoon. Nothing."

"No! You're lying! If nothing happened then why did you cut yourself?! What is this?!?"

Sunghoon shouted, grabbing his left hand, showing his cuts.

'H-how'

"How did you know?"

"Look. Jake. I'm so worried here. Just tell me. WHY. ARE. YOU. CUTTING. YOURSELF."

"Why do you even care?"

Jake snapped. Sunghoon closed his eyes. He turn around, taking a deep breath, he faced him again.

And he punched the wall. Just beside Jake.

"Why do I care? Fuck this. You really want to know why huh!?! You want to know WHY?! Fine!"

Sunghoon was frustrated. He really is. Walking towards their room feels so unreal to him. Even with such distance, he can already smell his blood.

He wanted to know why Jake suddenly had cut. Realizing where was it, he became more furious.

"It's because of this damn pull! YOUR DAMN SCENT! I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE HELL DID HAPPENED TO YOU! YOU WON'T EVEN TELL ME WHY!!!"

Jake looked at him. Sunghoon's fangs are so close on showing. His eyes are already switching from gold to red. But he's stopping himself.

He's already on the edge but he's stopping himself. He can't mark Jake yet. Not like this.

"Calm down. I don't know why you're suddenly like this but Sunghoon. That's not you."

Jake spoke. Slowly, Sunghoon stared at him. Seeing Jake staring at him, his eyes travelled down on his hand.

He saw the cuts again. But this time with the marks of his hand.

Sunghoon carefully held his hand. He massaged it.

"S-sorry. I just broke down like that."

"Why are you suddenly like this? Is it because of the moonlight last night? But you calmed down already right? You even fell asleep."

Sunghoon sighed. He took Jake's hand as they went for a seat. Still massaging his hand he spoke.

"Let's just say that my main priority is for you not to get hurt."

"And why's that?"

"If I tell you. Will you believe me?"

"If I tell you I will. Will you tell me?"

Sunghoon was taken a back.

'I did not expect that.'

"And if I say that I really will. Would you accept me?"

"Just say it if you can. You don't need to make me wait."

Jake said, looking at him.

'Should I tell him?'

"I'll tell it to you soon."

Jake nodded. Unexpectedly, silence followed. But that's not what Jake is planning.

"Last night......"

Sunghoon looked at him.

"Last night what?"

"Last night..... Like what is happening for the past seven years. I dreamt of my parents again. It happened again."

Sunghoon held his hand. He stares at him.

"It's okay if you don't want to tell it. It's not like I really am rushing you."

Jake shook his head. He took a deep breath as he continued.

"My parents were killed by a v-vampire. Right in front of me. And every same day, every year, I always dream of them. That vampire killed them."

Sunghoon froze. He looked at him.

'Is this the main reason on why you always feel hurt with just the mention of vampires? How are you going to react if you find out that I am one?'

"But even if he did killed them, the funny thing is that, he let me live. Which is his mistake. He thought I won't survive, but here I am. He should've make sure that I won't be to make it that night."

Jake said smiling. But the tears still fell.

"But you know what? Even if I hate him to death. Even if there are times when I think, I want to kill him, I just can't. Something's stopping me. That's why I wanted to know everything about them. I wanted to know 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘺 my parents killed his parents."

Sunghoon thinks.

'Who could it be?'

"Ha. I'm too dramatic."

Jake wiped his tears. He smiled at Sunghoon.

'I owe him something huh?'

He feels a lot better. He finally let someone know what happened seven years ago. The weight on his shoulders was lifted.
