Third Person's POV
"J-Jake"
Hearing him whisper his name, Jake turned around to see Sunghoon clutching his heart. He approached him.
"Hey Sunghoon. Is everything alright?"
"I c-can't feel myself."
"What?"
Sunghoon collapsed in the floor. Jake panicked.
"What the?!?!! SUNGHOON?!!!"
He held him as he positioned him to lay on his bed. Not knowing what to do, he was about to leave the room when Sunghoon held his hand.
"H-hold me."
'H— what?'
"What?"
"H-hold m-me."
Jake don't know what to do. Sunghoon extended his trembling hands.
"P-please."
Jake accepted his hand. And the moment he did, Sunghoon gripped into him TIGHT.
"D-don't leave m-me."
Sunghoon rested his head on Jake's chest, clinging to him very tight.
He can feel the effect of the moonlight. It feels suffocating for him. He needs to stay as close as he can to Jake.
"What's the matter Sunghoon?"
"I can't b-breathe."
"What?! What do you want me to do?! Do you need some inhaler or what? Wait let me check—"
"D-don't leave me. J-just don't leave m-me."
Jake stopped. He looked at Sunghoon. As if someone had told him, he slowly remove Sunghoon's grip on him.
"W-wait. J-jake."
"Shhhh. Wait for a moment."
Jake stood up. Walking to his windows, he locked them as he searched for some cloth. Finding his extra sheets, he covered the window with it.
He approached Sunghoon again on his bed, positioning him on his chest again. Sunghoon opened his eyes.
"W-what did you do?"
"I covered the moonlight for you."
'He k-knows?'
"Y-you....."
"Shhh..... Just take a rest. You need me right? I'm here. Don't worry."
Jake hushed him. Holding him tight, he played with his hair.
'I don't know 𝘸𝘩𝘺 I'm doing this. Or even 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 am I doing. But 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 is telling me to do it. And if that's what it takes for you to be better, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘵.'
Jake took a deep breath before relaxing.
'I guess this night will be different from the past seven years.'
Sunghoon woke up.
'Magnolias.'
He smiled as he held Jake tighter. Looking above him, he found him sleeping.
'He looks so peaceful.'
Slowly, he positioned Jake into the bed. Adjusting him so that he can lay properly. He stared at him.
'Thank you.'
He held his face. He felt his fangs show.
'Right. I should stay away after the eclipse.'
He stood up. Eyes noticing the window being covered with sheets. He walked closer, removing it.
'He must've felt it because of the pull. That's amazing.'
He opened the window as the cold air blew. He looked above, seeing the crystal clear full moon.
'The eclipse is over. I should go.'
Approaching Jake again, he sat on his bed. Caressing his face, he whispers.
"Thank you for staying with me at that hour."
He went closer to him. Kissing his forehead as he smiled.
"I'll see you later baby. I love you."
He spoke and stood up. Walking towards the door, he threw Jake one last look.
'I'm so lucky to have you.'
He went outside. Carefully hiding his fangs, he dashed to his way home.
But then again, he should've stayed. He should've just slept beside him. He should've just waited for Jake to wake up.
Because the moment he left, Jake fell into his dream. The dream that he'd always encounter every other year. 𝘏𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦. 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨. 𝘼𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣.
