Third Person's POV
"Jake."
Sunghoon started. Jake hummed to him. He was busy looking at the view in front of them.
"Jake. What if I told you I'm different?"
Jake looked at him.
"We're all different in our own ways. Don't be silly."
"No. I mean different different."
Jake looked at him. He smiled.
"Just say it already. Duh? Don't prolong it."
Sunghoon took a deep breath.
"What if I told you I believe in you that vampires exist is not just because I trust you. But simply just because I am one?
I am a vampire Jake. And you are my mate."
Sunghoon stared at him. He waited for his reaction. Jake just stood there.
"Y-you don't have anything to say?"
Jake stared at him.
"Jake? I said I'm a vampire. And you're my mate. You're supposed to say something?"
Jake looked at the view in front before looking back at him.
"I heard it. So what? I already know about it."
Sunghoon stopped.
"You know? H-how?"
"I had a clue last night. When you felt numb and vulnerable in the eclipse. And a while ago, your eyes are changing from gold to red. I already knew it that time."
'Am I really THAT slow to think that he won't figure it out?'
"So..... You're not mad? You can still hate me if you want. I mean not like I would want to but if that will—"
"Can you keep quiet? I mean if that's what you've been planning to say, then that's it. It's a big deal but will that change anything? None. You're still a vampire even if you won't tell me."
Sunghoon stared at him.
'I love him.'
"But tell me more about those m-mate thingy though. I haven't read about those."
Sunghoon smiled. He approached him, shoulders touching, he spoke.
"Mates are like how can you put it to words. Mates are like....."
"Lovers?"
Sunghoon looked at him.
"How did you know?"
"I was only kidding when I said I didn't know about it. But I still need to know more though."
Unable to stop himself, Sunghoon hugged Jake.
"What's the matter?"
"I'm so lucky to have you. Damn."
"Hey no cursing."
Sunghoon laughed in the hug. Wrapping his arms to his waist, he rested his chin on his shoulder.
"You have no idea how much this matters to me. Really. Thank you for accepting me."
Hugging him tighter, he spoke again.
"I don't want to let you go. I've been wanting to do this the moment I saw you."
Jake laughed.
"What's my scent?"
"Magnolias."
"Really? Wow. I'm sweet then."
Jake joked. Sunghoon smiled.
"Yeah. Very sweet."
Finally breaking the hug, Sunghoon immediately went to hold his hand.
"Let's go home now."
"Yeah. It's getting late."
