Chapter 7: Wine Sneakery

You were getting ready to go to bed since it was a tiring day for you and honestly, you had fun! You can't wait to hang out with Aether and Paimon again, they bring you so much joy and they never seem to bore you out. The only problem you have is with your brother letting you to come with them. Aether did mention that him and his friend would go out in an adventure, oh how you envy that. It's part of your dream, where you would go out freely on an adventure with your friends.

You smiled at the thought as you kay on your soft cushion of the bed as you stare at your ceiling. Slowly, your eyes begin to get heavy as you took a deep breath. Closing them as you left yourself drift off to slumber.

Your eyes opened on their own as your senses instantly went on. You head tapping in your window as if someone was throwing pebble on it. Quickly, you turned on your lamp that's close to your bed and that's on a night stand. Standing up from your bed as you lazily walk over to the window.

Due to how dark it is, and the moon light only shows a little part in the road, it didn't help you see who it was throwing rocks at your window in the middle of the night.

Suddenly, as you were about to close it, a soft cold breeze past through you as sigh and smile. It's your friend. And as on cue, you heard someone calling out your name as if it was a whisper.

"Good night isn't, (Y/n)?" His voice in the wind as you scoff.

"Isn't it a bit late, Lord Barbatos?" You sarcastically said knowing that it somehow annoys him whenever you would call him that.

"Can you sneak out some wine for me please???" His voice in the wind plead. You quickly imagine him giving you those puppy eyes, an advantage he learned from being away as an Archon.

"Give me a moment. I'll check if Brother is still up." You said with a smile as you hear him yelled 'Yay!' in the wind in which made you giggle.

Quietly, you made your way towards your door as you gently and carefully open it as you got out of your bedroom. To the balcony, you can clearly see that the light is still on and the fire on the fireplace is still lit up. You saw your big brother at the one seated couch, with his arm rested on the handle as he leaned on his hand. Is he sleeping?

Quickly, you quietly moved to the direction where you can clearly see if he's sleeping or not. You smiled in glee as you saw him sleeping soundly while sitting.

Quickly, you tiptioed downstairs to get to the wine cellar. Of course, getting a empty bottle at the kitchen first so that Venti wouldn't ask for a second round. Quietly, you made your way to the cellar with an empty bottle at hand.

You quietly did your best to open the door without making any sound that'll wake up your big brother. Though, your hands instantly froze when you heard him groan. Gulping, you quickly stopped opening the door to check if he had woken up.

Slowly, you made your way towards him to see if he's awake or not. Slightly tilting your head to the side, you stared at his sleeping face as his eyebrows were knitted. Is he having another nightmare? You suddenly felt guilty as you put down the empty bottle you have at hand on the ground as went up stairs to get one of your blankets.

Diluc didn't have his black coat on, and just his white sleeves. Being the nice sister you have(note the sarcasm), it would be nice to put a blanket around him.

Slowly, as you got your blanket, you put it on him as you decided to clean up the papers he had on the coffee table beside him. Grabbing his cup as you head to the kitchen to put it at the sink. And as you went back towards the fireplace, you saw Diluc moving around the blanket as you watch him snuggle on your blanket.

That was cute. But you need to go back to your mission of sneaking out some wine for Venti. You've been doing this for how long you've known Venti. Maybe 4 months? And you have gotten used to it, honestly. Venti would always come late at night, ask for a vintage wine at the cellar and then tell you stories about his past and of course, of what happened to him in that specific day. His stories were full of entertainment, and every single time he tells you one of his tales, it never seemed to bore you out.

And successfully, you had finally pour the empty glass bottle full. After a minute or so, you have gotten out of the mansion and head to where Venti is.

"Hello, Venti~!" You sang as you showed him the bottle of wine.

"Oh great! You got it! I know I can count on you!" He said happily as you handed him the wine as he didn't hesitate to open it and chug it down as if he hadn't drink that type of wine in a really long while.

You took a seat beside him and smiled, "You've been gone for a week. Where were you?" You asked him.

Venti paused as he put down the wine and smiled sadly, "I met an old friend." He said as he turned his gaze to you and give you a cheerful bubbly smile, "I heard from the traveller that you had fun today!" He said enthusiastically.

You giggled, "Yeah, we went to Liyue!" You said with a big smile as Venti's eyes widened in excitement.

"Really?! Did you met the Geo Archon? He's a good of mine!" Venti said with a big smile as his eyes sparkles in excitement.

"No, I don't even know who the Geo Archon is." You said with a small smile.

Venti looked at you and as he did, an idea popped up in his head, "OOH! How about tomorrow we go and then I'll let you meet him! He's actually nice!" Venti said in excitement.

"Really?" You asked as your eyes sparkles in hope. You watch as Venti nodded.

"And if Master Diluc didn't let you, well, i guess I'll just have to annoy him until he gives in!" He said as a plan is already build up in his mind.

"I think we should let Aether do the talking. After all, my brother did hear him say that he'll accompany me tomorrow." You said with a smile.

"Really? Then i guess you should go back to bed! Me and the traveller will go here in the morning!" Venti said as he stands up from his seat as he gently helps you up with a smile.

"Bye, Venti! See you tomorrow!" You said as you giggled.

"Can't wait, (Y/n)!" He said as he waved as he used his archon powers to disappear within the wind. You smiled and scoff as you stare at the full moon in the sky.

You're so excited for tomorrow.
