'THERE THEY ARE!'

Childe heard as he tried his best to cover his face while wearing a coat that he quickly got from one of the sleeping harbingers. He was panting as he keeps on running while holding you in his arms.

"Childe! You can put me down!" You shouted.

"You'll slow both of us down! You know how bad and slow you are when it comes running!" Childe replied as he catches up on his breath.

You were looking up to him, you don't know why. But all of the best situations, this is the bad time to notice how good-looking he is. Maybe it's because he's looking stressed in which you find funny. But then, remembering what he said, it immediately put an irk in you.

"I'LL TAKE THAT AS AN INSULT!" You shouted angrily.

"SHH! NOW HOLD TIGHT! I'M GONNA TRY TO MAKE THIS JUMP!" He shouted as you look upfront to see a big gap on the ground.

Your eyes widened, "WAIT-- NO! I DOUBT YOU'LL MAKE THAT JUMP!" You shouted.

"JUST TRUST ME!" He shouted as you looked over to see the gap on the ground. You gripped on his shirt as your jaw clenched, praying and hoping that this dumbass will make the jump. Everything seemed to slow down when Childe grunted and use all of his strength to jump. Time seemed to move slower than it was before when you felt the two of you falling.

Childe bit the bottom of his lips when he knows that the two of you are not going to be able to make the jump. Your eyes widened as you looked up at him.

"Childe... CHILDE?!" You shouted as you panickly look down when you felt the gap between you and him.

Childe clicked his tongue as he quickly acted and grabbed your wrist as he uses his delusion. Your eyes widened as the sigh and disbelief. Quickly he pulled you closer to his chest and hugged you protectively and he braced himself from the impact to the ground. It bothers you how you couldn't hear his heartbeat from this form. You forced your eyes shut as well as you heard a faint voice shouting from the top of the cliff, to where you and Childe were before.

"Master Diluc, calm down!" Jean worriedly said as she watched Diluc pace back and forth in his tavern. No one was there as he intended it to be, the only people there were the traveler, the bard, the acting grand-master, and of course, his adopted brother Kaeya.

If Diluc was all disturbed and worried, and anxious about this, Kaeya had it worst. He promised he'll come back for (Y/n) right after he was finished with his task, but the moment he left was the moment his little sister got kidnapped. Kaeya is taking all the blame, he was ready if ever Diluc burst out his anger on him.

"How can I calm?! How can I calm?! (Y/N) GOT KIDNAPPED! worse! They might hurt her! I can't just stand here-" He was in a frantic panic.

"Calm down, Diluc. Before we head out and look for her, we should make a plan first." Kaeya said as he stood up from his seat. Diluc stared at him, yet his stare was in the mix of hatred and disappointment and Kaeya seemed to ignore it.
