Chapter 8: Jealousy

"Please Master Diluc! I swear I'll return her before even dawn hits!" Venti pleaded as he clings on to the red head who seemed to be trying hard not to shout at the Anemo Archon himself.

Diluc sigh as his eyebrows twitch in annoyance, "For the last time bard, no." He sternly said as he tried to get Venti off of his coats sleeve.

"But pleaaaase! We'll have Aether come with us so you don't have to worry! And besides! (Y/n) has a vision! She can protect herself tooo! She's not a kiiiiiid!" Venti whine as crocodile tears came out at the corner of his eyes. He tried to give Diluc his best puppy eyes smile, but- it certainly didn't affect Diluc.

"No." He simply said as he manages to shake off Venti off of his arms.

"But Master Diluc-"

"We'll be sure to keep (Y/n) safe, Master Diluc. And besides, I promised her to hang out with her today. I can't sing break that." Aether explained as this cut off Venti's speech as Venti looked at the traveler with hope and excitement.

Diluc sigh, "No. Still, I can't let her." Diluc said as he let his voice disappeared. Knowing that she encountered a Fatui yesterday, he wouldn't just simply let her go out on her own. He can't be with her since he has so many things to do at hand, especially he needed to go back to the tavern at Mond.

"Please, Master Diluc. This is the last time," He shouldn't have said, still Aether continued when he felt that Diluc was still listening to him, "We just wanted to hang out with (Y/n) more." Aether said as he is determined to hang out with you once again. The hard stayed silent, letting the traveler take over the conversation knowing that Diluc simply owns him for something.

Diluc sigh, "Fine. But remember, return her before dawn hits or else I'll have both of your heads as a trophy." He threatened which made Venti jump up in happiness.

"THANK YOU MASTER DILUC!" Venti shouted enthusiastically as he was about to go hug and jump at Diluc, but then simply remember that he might kill him so he stopped immediately.

"Be quiet and leave. (Y/n)'s in the kitchen with Adeline." He said as he head towards his desk with a sigh.

Venti and Aether looked at each other as Aether looked to his to see Paimon gone. Where is she? She could be with (Y/n) at the kitchen enjoy the food that has been serve there for (Y/n). Both then head towards to the direction as they ask one of the maids of where the kitchen could be. And upon arriving there, Venti didn't hesitate to open the door with a wide smile that's plastered on his lips.

"Ya-ho!" Venti greeted as he saw (Y/n) drinking her drink as Paimon wolf down a whole sweet maiden.

Aether smiled as (Y/n) looked at her, seemingly asking if her older brother agreed with her by coming with them back to Liyue. Little did he know that she will be meeting the Geo Archon. The thought made the girl giggle.

"He agreed. But he reminded us that we should return you before dawn." Aether said as this made her smile as she immediately stand up from her seat.

"Well, we should get going! We don't want to waste any more time now, wouldn't we?" She asked with a smile as she grabbed Paimon's little arms as she dragged her with her via Paimon floating.

"WAIT-! I haven't finished the gravy chicken one!!" Paimon whined as without a second, all four of them are out of the kitchen and headed straight directly to Liyue.

On the walk towards Liyue, you and Paimon only have the conversation about food that the two of you are planning to eat once you get to Liyue. Venti and Aether are also having a conversation with their own, talking about the Geo Archon of course.
