Chapter 12: Waiting

Well, it was weird for her to go here in Liyue harbor in broad daylight and with only the Bard accompanying her. Childe watched from afar as he can't seem to go in her direction yet since he got himself full with his duties. Because he was getting sidetrack with gaining your trust. He's not just doing this anymore for the benefit of the agency, but because he was genuinely attracted to you especially when the two of you got too friendly with one another. The thing about the benefit for the agency left his mind and thoughts, and the only thing that's inside his thoughts were you. 

Childe can't seem to focus knowing that you're just there. His mind wonder as to what you're going to do here. Childe tried his best to snap out of his little trance and decided to finish this so that he could go on and talk to you and maybe have the chance to hang out with you once again. Childe shook his head gently as he took back his attention as to what he was doing hand. After, he promised himself to hang out with you once again.

Venti gave you a cheeky yet mischievous grin, "You and Childe were just together last night, pranking me. Don't tell me you miss him already~" Venti teasingly said as he smirked at you. 

Your eyebrows knit as you smile, "No, Venti, this is something serious." You said as this made Venti stop smirking at you and looked at you worriedly.

"Oh, on a scale of 1-10, how serious?" He asked as the two of you took a seat on the nearest bench that there is. Venti waited for your reply. 

"Prolly 9." You replied shortly as this made Venti bit his bottom lips as he sighs. 

"That is a major serious problem, is there anything for me to do?" He asked as he blinks his eyes multiple times. 

"Yeah, be my emotional support, that's all." You said as you lean against the bench and tried to relax your posture. You've been so tense ever since you left the mansion. It was really nerve-wracking knowing that you're somehow going to confront Childe about what you have learned from your older brother.

Venti nodded, "I am always your emotional support, (Y/N). Here, have some cold fresh air." Venti said with a  genuine smile as a cold wind brushes up against you, helping you calm down and feel relaxed, but your mind is running up with a thousand thoughts and it's not going to stop not until you get to have a conversation with Chide. 

Of course, you knew where he was, you just didn't acknowledge it because he seemed busy and you don't want to disturb him knowing that he's with some new agents from the Fatui Agency. You're not gonna lie, bringing up Venti was a good idea, because right now, his cold breeze is helping you calm down. 

There are so many scenarios that are entering your head right now. It would be heartbreaking if Childe was the one who's behind the stalking of that one Fatui agent, why? Why heartbreaking? It's because you have found yourself getting attached to the ginger hair man, not gonna lie, you might have developed a crush on him because he was charming and also good-looking, but thinking those aren't going to help you resolve your problems right now. You sigh in relief as Venti watched the clouds pass by in the sky at the moment. Both of you don't mind the silence and tranquility. 

As you watch the people passing left in right in front of you, you rested your chin on both of your palms as you rest your elbow on your thighs as you boredly watch the people passing. As time goes on as you felt your sleep drifting off to sleep, you felt someone tugged your sleeve. Opening your eyes as you looked over to Venti, to see him already sleeping. Looking at the opposite, you saw an adorable child who was holding different many types of flowers that can only be found here in Liyue. She was staring at you with those hollow big orbs in such curiosity, You smiled at her nonetheless. 

"Hello, How are you?" You asked as you slightly tilted your head to the side with a smile. 

"Qiqi wants you to give these flowers." She said as she handed your the flowers she has at hand with both of her hands. You were taken by surprise as your cheeks were tinted with a bit of pink as you chuckled. 

You took the flowers, "Thank you! Oh, and who is Qiqi-" Your words were cut off when someone behind Qiqi appears in the wind. Your eyes widened as that power was similar to Venti somehow. 

"Qiqi, I've been looking everywhere for you." He said, he was short, maybe the same height as Venti, and he's a polearm wielder. He also has a demonic mask that's tied on his waist, his hair was black but at the tip of it was a neon dark green, similar to Venti also. 

"Oh, Xiao..." Qiqi said as she looked back at the person. The male landed his eyes on you as he scowls. He kneeled down as he patted the child's head. 

"What did I tell you about talking to random people?" He said as he looked back at you as his gaze seemingly hardened in which looked like a menacing glare. 

"I know... I'm sorry. But Qiqi thought that giving this woman some flowers would be good because Qiqi reminded her of someone. And she looks beautiful." She said as she looked back at you. 

You have this blush on your cheeks as you heard her say the word 'Beautiful'. You gulped as the male's gaze didn't change. He gently grabbed the little girl's hand, "Let's go back to the pharmacy," He said.

The little girl shook her hand as she took back her hand, "Qiqi wants to stay with her more." Qiqi said as she walked closer to you. Xiao clicked his tongue as you looked towards and catching his gaze on you in which he quickly avoided it and looked over to Venti that's beside you. 

You watch as his scowling face soften. Does he know Venti. 

The girl has once again tugged your sleeve to make you look at her once again, "Qiqi wants to know your name, Miss." She said as he looked up to you. 

"Oh, Uhm," You paused and smiled, "My name is (Y/N)-" 

"Hey! (Y/N)-chan! I'm finally done with my job!" It was Childe. 

Your smile disappears as the negative thoughts enter your mind once again making you feel anxious.
