Chapter 5: Capture his attention

He's one of the harbingers, and he's not denying that fact when he introduced himself to you. Your eyebrows knitted as you stand close to Aether, sensing that his smirk was not a good intention. You don't know the full details as to why your brother despises the Fatui, but he did warn you that they're dangerous and they're up to no good.

"You know him, Aether?" You asked the boy beside as he looked at you.

He nods, "We've fought once." He said a bit lower but you're able to hear it.

"Now! Now! I'm not here to cause you any trouble!" He said with closed eyes smiled. and once he opened those, his eyes quickly darted toward you as he gives you a goofy grin. You have to admit, his oceanic deep blue eyes were really captivating, not to mention how it looked so empty. 

"Leave us alone, Fatui boy! We're just here to give (Y/n) a tour!" Paimon shouted with her tiny voice as Aether rolled his eyes as he looked over to you. 

"Let's just go, (Y/n)." Aether said as he gently grabbed your wrist and drag you away with him, certainly away from the Fatui agent. 

Before Paimon could follow both you and Aether, she gives a hard glare on Childe, "I'm watching you, Tar Tar sauce." She said as she floats away, quickly following you and Aether. 

Childe chuckled at the funny nickname that floating creature had given him. He watched as you and Aether, along with Paimon disappear from his sight. And there, He smirk. He took a quick liking on that girl. Not to mention her glaring ruby eyes that he swore he had seen somewhere near Mondstadt. He then shrugged his shoulders as he proceed with his appointment here in Liyue Harbor. He just hoped that he'll be able to see you more than often. Then again, that thought of his can arranged. After all, he has this skill that will make sure to charm you soon enough.

Once Aether has taken you out of that Harbingers gaze he sigh in relief as he forced a smile as he looked up to you.

"I'm sorry about him..." He said worriedly as he looked up to you. You're seemingly was looking back to where you guys have been before.

And you have to admit. Those empty orbs of Childe seemed to attract you in a way that's unexplainable. You shook your head and took back your attention to Aether and smiled at him, "It's okay, Aether. He does look like he's up to no good." You said. You weren't lying when you said that. Living with your brother for all your life, you were surely taught how to read someone's intent and what they're after.

After all, Diluc did warned you every single day that the Fatui's are up to no good. But he never really get to that topic, especially when it still reminds him of what happened to your father. Because for once, you were not there to witness all of it and you don't have the full picture of what Diluc meant.

"Though, he seems interesting." You said as you look back to the spot where you had been before.

Aether looked at you with a confused look as Paimon sigh as she slowly shakes her head. Paimon then floated next to you and placed a palm on your cheek.

"Don't trust him, (Y/n). He's up to no good." She said as you looked at her as she gently squeeze your cheeks causing you to slightly flinch but it was not noticeable from Aether.

"Alright, Alright, Paimon. I won't. I don't think I'll be having a conversation with him though." You said as this made Paimon smile.

"You better not! Anyway! Let's have Tiger grilled fish! Paimon is hungry!" She said excitedly as she floats towards the shop in Liyue that sells Tiger Grilled Fish.

You, yourself, haven't tried any of the Liyue's special varieties of food. Remember that you were not allowed to leave the part of Mondstadt since your brother is a bit too over protective of our own well being. But you know to yourself that you can fully protect yourself and the people around you. That comes along with Aether. It wasn't even a day of being with him as your guide and yet here you are, being attached to him.

Aether smiled at you as you nodded and followed up Paimon towards that shop. Couldn't hurt to make this day worth while since it's not going to last long, especially when you're gonna get home and spend the rest of your days inside the boring walls of the Dawn Winery's mansion that belonged to you, and your older brother.

He's got a good view of where you are right now. You were happily having a conversation with Aether and so to his companion. His arms were crossed against his chest as a Fatui agent stand near close to him, seemingly curious as to who he's watching right now. But, not wanting to pry, he silently looked for that certain someone.

Childe has to admit. Your ruby eyes catch his attention. Those pair of orbs that belongs to you were beautiful, it complimented your face really well, and you look stunning. Even though without doing anything, it's seemed that you manage to squeeze yourself inside Childe's cold blooded heart. That's really out of ordinary, considering he's the type to never fall in love first. Of course, Childe was not new to the feeling, but it's been a long time since he felt one that was real and really hits him right in the core.

He chuckled at thought of 'Love at first sight', though he would be lying to himself if he says that he doesn't like you. He was hoping to get to have a conversation with you soon enough.

The Fatui agent besides him looked at him with a confused look as he tilt his head to the side, seemingly out of habit. Has the 11th harbinger really this unhinged? He's chuckling as if someone was telling him a joke. Then again, he doesn't want his head to be the trophy of elimination so he chose his mouth to shut and never said a thing.

"Hey," Childe called out for the Fatui agent beside him.

The agent flinch at the sudden call as he became nervous. He knows what he can do, and that's why he's scared shitless with him, "Yes?" He asked, trying to sound calm but instead sounded so nervous when he didn't realized that his voice shakes.

Childe chuckled as he turned his attention to him, looking at him with ocean blue voided eyes, "Can you gathersome information about that (H/C) girl over there?" He asked nicely as he pointed with his thumbs but never looked where he pointed towards to. He just had his gaze towards the agent.

"That...girl besides the renowned travelr of Teyvat?" The Fatui agent asked making sure he's clear. The agent then looked back to Childe, who still has a flat smile, and nodd.

"I'll be expecting the gathered info next week. Don't disappoint me." He said as he walked away after giving a sweet smile to the agent.

The agent gulped as he looked back at the (H/C) hair as he watch them walked down towards the harbor. Is Childe being serious with him gathering a full information about that random girl? What are his motives? Is that going to benefit the organization? The agent has no choice but to obey, he doesn't want to die though so he guessed he'll be gathering that girls information for the rest of the week.
