A New Beginning (Lloyd x reader)

Chapter 18

We had found Lloyd lying on the ground, barely just alive. There wasn't much time to waste, so you all carried him to the Bounty, and Nya called Misako. 

You guys didn't know what to do, but luckily Misako did. 

You flew all the way to Ninjago City and went straight to Mystake's tea shop. All the while Lloyd was tossing and turning mumbling to himself, you felt so utterly useless in these situations.

We all burst into the shop, which startled Mystake a little, but she saw Lloyd, she immediately went to find the right tea. 

"Hurry. He's burning up." Jay said as Mystake prepared the tea. 

"You cannot hurry tea. Only have the patience to get it right. It is ready." Mystake walked out from the room behind us and showed us the tea. 

"Is it going to make him better?" Cole asked her. 

"It will heal his wounds, but..." Mystake stopped before saying anything else. 

"But what?" Nya asked.

"There's always a "but." Kai groaned. 

"It comes with a price," Mystake told us. At that point, you would give anything to have Lloyd back. 

"Whatever it is, we will pay it," Zane told Mystake. 

"I will take no coin for this. I speak of a price for you and your friend. Each of you must lay your hand upon him. The tea will focus your Elemental Powers to save him. But it may use up all the power you have left." Mystake explained our payment to Lloyd. 

"Are you telling me to save him, we could lose our power?" Jay asked her. 

"Perhaps. Perhaps not." It was the only thing Mystake said.

"Do it." Both you and Nya said at the same time. 

"Wait! You don't just jump into decisions like this. I mean-" Kai said. 

"You're just worried about yourself," Cole argued back. 

"Maybe I am. But you saw how powerful Lord Garmadon was. Without our Elemental Powers, what chance do we have? And what about y/n and her baby, we don't know what kind of effect this will have on her." Kai explained his concerns. 

"The decision needs to be unanimous. I will give up my power to save Lloyd." Zane said and laid a hand on Lloyd. 

"Me too." Jay agreed and did the same. 

"It's not even a choice." Cole and laid a hand on him too. 

Everyone laid a hand on Lloyd's body. You were about to do the same when Mystake stopped you. 

"Perhaps you shouldn't sacrifice your powers, my dear, it could have consequences for your child," Mystake told you. 

"But-" You were about to say something. 

"Y/n, please just listen to Mystake," Cole said to you. You looked him in the eye. You saw determination, but also concern and fear. 

With your head held down, you stepped back from the others. 

After Mystake gave Lloyd the tea, everyone started pouring their powers into Lloyd. You looked concerned at him as he screamed a little as if he was in pain. As soon as it started, it had ended. Lloyd again laid on the countertop, but he didn't toss and turn or mumble anymore. 

"Now we wait," Mystake said and walked away. 

TIME SKIP

Many hours passed and Lloyd still hadn't woken up. We took turns looking after him, and at least he looked more peaceful in his sleep.
