A New Beginning (Lloyd x reader)

Chapter 26

You had all fallen asleep, being tickled to attract Dragons actually drained you pretty badly. You were leaning up again Zane and sleeping peacefully, until you, Zane, and Kai began to wake up. 

"Guys, I heard Lloyd. "The Resistance never quits." It never quits." Jay explained to us, but it was hard to process anything when you just woke up. 

"Looks like we lost Jay again," Kai said. 

"No, no, no. I'm not crazy. I really heard him. On the radio." Jay explained to us and that got your attention. 

"If that's true, then let's hope Cole can get us out of here," Zane said, and you nodded. Kai looked behind us and looked at the wind dragon who was being dragged in vengestone chains. 

It looked miserable. 

"Yeah. Get us all out of here." Kai said to Zane.

"Don't worry, we will. All of us and the dragons." You placed and hand on Kai's shoulder and gave him a kind smile. 

We entered the city and our cage was lowered to the ground. 

"We've got it. If we can't shoot straight, may as well make ourselves useful." Cole said to Muzzle and Daddy no legs. They looked at each other and decided not to bother with Cole and left. 

"Tell me you have a plan," Kai said to Cole, you really hoped he did too. 

"Well, it's in the early stages," Cole told him.

"He doesn't have a plan." Both you and Sensei Wu said. Cole just looked offended at you both, you just shrugged your shoulders. 

"Tonight, we feast!" Iron Baron shouted and everyone cheered. You looked at Iron Baron with absolute hatred, you hated that man with your very core. 

"With this place swarming with Hunters, breaking you out is gonna be impossible," Cole told us. 

"If only Firstbourne paid Iron Baron a visit, we'd have a distraction," Zane said. 

"Wait, what did you just say?" Jay asked him and you looked at him too. 

"Did I mispronounce the name? The mother of all Dragons you spoke of. It sounds like there's a lot of history between her and Iron Baron." Zane explained to Jay. 

"We're only confined by the walls we build ourselves. Build the impossible." Jay mumbled to himself, but we still all heard him. 

"Yup. Sounds crazy." Sensei Wu said. 

"Those were your words," Jay complained to Sensei Wu. 

"Shh. What are you getting at?" Kai shushed us as a pair of Hunters walked past us. 

"Okay. If we can't wait for the mother of all Dragons, we build it." Jay told us his plan. 

"Now I know you've lost it." Kai gasped and told Jay. 

"Jay might be onto something. If we could trick Iron Baron into thinking he's under attack-" Zane explained. 

"-then we could have the distraction to break you out." Cole continued. 

"Hey, Dangerbuff. Stop burning daylight, and get over here!" Daddy no legs shouted for Cole.

"Uh, yeah, be right there. If you can design it, we can build it outside of camp. Then get it in the air by nightfall." Cole said to us, finally, we actually had a plan. 

"Then it's a plan. We build the impossible." Jay said. 

"Oh, this is getting exciting." You chuckled. 

TIME SKIP

We all did what we could to help Cole and Sensei Wu build the Firstbourne. We stole tools, metals, chains, anything that would help us continue building the Firstbourne. 

You didn't feel right in stealing, but in this situation, you could look past it. 

It was also minimal what you guys could do when you just got ordered around and shoveled stones all day. As if your back wasn't hurting enough. 

The guys looked out for you and helped you when you needed it. This was not the best situation to be pregnant in. 

One time, you got so nauseous that you ran off, and you threw up behind a large boulder. 

Iron baron saw this and got angry because you weren't working, but the guys stepped in and protected you from Iron Baron. 

TIME SKIP

You saw Cole and Sensei Wu walking over to you, looking pretty miserable. 

"It won't fly." Sensei Wu explained to us. 

"It has to," Jay said to him. 

"I'm too heavy. Maybe your calculations were off." Cole questioned Jay. 

"I designed it to your measurements. Have you gained weight?" Jay asked him, and you could see how offended Cole looked. 

"I have given up cake and my body is a temple." Cole gave us the same old line he always has. 

"Cole?" Jay looked at him suspiciously. 

"I can fly it." Sensei Wu suddenly said. 

"Your legs won't even reach the pedals." Cole pointed out to him. 

"Easier to grow a little than lose a lot." Sensei Wu said and patted Cole on the stomach. 

"H-hey!" Cole just said. 

"Speaking of weight, haven't y/n's stomach looked a little bigger?" Kai suddenly spoke. 

"Okay, now that's just mean." You said back to Kai. 

"Now I mean it y/n, try to lift your shirt," Kai said to you. 

"Who knew you were such pervert Kai." You smirked at him. 

"Urgh, just do it," Kai told you. 

"Alright, alright." You said and lifted your shirt above your stomach. 

"Is that-" Cole began. 

"I think it is," Kai confirmed. 

"Aww, it's a tiny baby bump," Jay said. 

You looked at it in shock, feeling an overwhelming feeling overtake you. 

"Hey y/n, are you okay?" Cole asked you. 

"There really is something in there." You felt tears roll down your cheeks as you spoke. 

"Hey, it's okay, no need to be sad." Kai tried to comfort you. 

"I'm not sad idiot, I'm happy, oh so very happy, it's just the hormones." You told him and placed a hand on your tiny baby bump. 

The guys didn't say anything, they looked at each other and smiled.
