It had gotten even darker, and we were all still flying through the Oni land. That was until we came to stop at a dead end.
"It's a dead-end!" Cole shouted, and we all made a U-turned and landed in front of the dead end. We all jumped down from our vehicles at carefully inspected the place around out.
"So these Oni. If they're shape-shifters, how do we know when we see one? I mean, how do we even know one isn't already pretending to be one of us?" Jay said and got in Kai's face.
"Oh, zip it, Jay." Kai sighed and pushed Jay away from him. And people told you, you worried too much.
Faith, Cole, Zane, and Sensei Wu walked in front, while you stayed behind with Kai and Jay.
"Oni!" Cole suddenly shouted and Kai threw a giant fireball. It hit something and illuminated a giant statue of what you could only guess was a dragon.
"It's a statue," Kai said.
"A gate," Zane said, and we spotted the same gate as him.
"To an Oni stronghold. But it's open." Faith pointed out the open door to us. You, Kai, and Jay ran over to them as they walked further towards the gate.
"Um, should we be walking toward it? I really thought we'd be walking the other way. Zip it. Duly noted." Jay voiced his concern, but Faith looked at him, and he got the message.
Faith hit the gate with her cross-bow, and it opened. We all stood ready, just in case someone or something wanted to attack you before continuing inside.
"One thing you forgot to tell us about Oni: they're slobs too," Kai remarked as we all saw the decaying ruins inside.
"I don't think that's the case here, Kai." You told him.
"Where is everyone?" Cole asked as he looked around, You doubted anyone was around, but you could be wrong.
"Wherever they are, they haven't lived here for centuries," Zane said.
"That liar! All this time, he lied to us. It was just a story, made up." Faith suddenly said and took her hat and muzzle off.
"Uh, what are you talking about?" Kai asked her. You, too, were curious as to what she meant.
"Iron Baron. He made us believe this was Oni land. No one has ever seen one because look around. They're all gone." Faith Shouted as she gestured to the surrounding ruins.
"But where did they go?" Jay asked.
"I don't think they could've just disappeared from the face of the earth." You said and looked around.
"He used fear to control you," Kai said after Faith let out an aggressive shout.
"He wasn't enslaving Dragons. He was enslaving us! How could I have been so stupid? Is any of it true? Is there even the Dragon Armor?" Faith turned and faced Sensei Wu and Cole.
"I think she's asking you." Cole nudged Sensei Wu.
"I...I don't know." Sensei Wu admitted to her.
"Don't know? Don't know? Do you know how much I sacrificed to help you? If we can't get out of here and Iron Baron finds me, he-he'll...Argh! Why did you tell me you knew where it was?" Faith went off on Sensei Wu, you considered intervening, but you thought it wasn't such a great idea.
"My father told me in a dream I must have faith. Then we found you. I still believe we will find it, even if you don't." Sensei Wu told her. Faith let out another scream and almost hit Sensei Wu, but didn't and went off somewhere else.
"I know that was hard to do, but it's better to admit the truth than carrying on a lie." Cole tried to cheer Sensei Wu up, as we all watched Faith go off on the gates in anger.
"Even if we never get home, the least we can do is raise you to be the person you raised us to be." Jay had a point, but it was still a scary thought. Never go home ever again, that was something you couldn't risk.
"It's a shame about the armor. I was starting to believe in it myself." Kai told him, but merely just shrugged his shoulders.
"We all were," Zane admitted. While they were talking, noticed something on the gates. You nudged Sensei Wu and pointed towards the gates.
"Look." He saw what you pointed towards the gates.
"Ah, it's sad, really. She has a lot of pent-up issues to resolve. That's what can happen when you're born in a cruel world." Jay only noticed Faith going off on the gates.
"Not her. The gate." Sensei Wu said and walked towards the gates, and closed them.
"The Dragon Armor..." Kai said as the doors revealed a map.
"It's in the nest of the Firstbourne..." Cole said.
"It's...Real..." Faith Said. You could tell she couldn't believe was she was looking at. You placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled at her.
"We have faith. Now we have a map. I told you." Sensei Wu smiled at her.
Put an end to one journey, and start another exciting journey.
