A New Beginning (Lloyd x reader)

Chapter 25

The Dragon Hunters had tied us all up to a high post. Even you, though you hadn't shown them your elemental powers, they just assumed you had them. 

"Hope you're comfortable." Iron Baron said to us. 

"Whatever you have planned for us, we'll never help you hunt Dragons," Kai shouted at him while he tried to wiggle free from the vengestone they had used on us. 

"Hmm. I beg to differ." Iron Baron said and pressed a button. And an electric current began flowing through you, it tickled really badly, and you had a hard time concentrating. 

All the guys laughed as the current went through them. Kai's elemental power lit up for a moment before shortly dying down. 

"He's triggering an Elemental reaction," Zane told Kai. 

"Is that what he means by power attracts power?" Kai asked. 

"He's using us as bait. And it kinda tickles." Jay laughed as the current went through him. 

"I'm excited to see what tonight's catch brings!" Iron Baron shouted as he looked at us. 

"Hang in there guys, we can get through this." You said to the others as the current went through you all.  

You heard distant roaring and were hoping it wasn't what you were thinking. 

"Where is she? There! There!" Iron Baron proved you were right.

"Guys, I really don't like this," Kai told you. 

"A wind Dragon. A good-sized one, too. Lie low! Let her come. Wait for it. Wait for it. Now!" Iron Baron said to the others. The dragon used its powers to try and blow some Dragon Hunters away. Its powers blew out their fire, which made things a little harder to see. 

"Take a shot, Dangerbuff! What are you waiting for?" Daddy no legs shouted to someone, and you had a good feeling about who it was. 

You saw Cole aim at the post where you and the guys were held and shot the tower. Debris flew everywhere, but luckily you landed safely enough. 

But before Cole and Sensei Wu could do anything to save us, the Dragon Hunters already collected us and threw us in the same small cage we came in. 

You watched with terror as they took down the beautiful wind dragon and cheered as it hit the ground. 

'Why...' You thought to yourself, even though you knew why already. 

"So tonight wasn't our night," Kai said to us. 

"It wasn't hers, either," Jay said, and you looked at the dragon one more time before looking away again. Zane saw how distraught you were and placed an arm around you. 

"We'll figure out a way out of this. For us, and the Dragons." Cole told us. 

"I will stop at nothing to get us and the dragons out of this." You stepped forward and looked at Cole. 

"And I hope you're ready to help me through this." You smiled at Cole and Sensei Wu, and they smiled back at you. 

"There's the y/n we know and love," Kai said and placed a hand on your shoulder. 

"And she never left and never will." You cracked your knuckles.
