A New Beginning (Lloyd x reader)

Chapter 2

"Whoa, I'm confused. How can there be three masks when you just said it's the only mask?" Jay asked, scratching his head. You mentally facepalmed but carried on.

"Not "only" Jay. "Oni." Nya tried to explain to him. 

"The Oni is said to be all-powerful beings. Demons that predate Ninjago." Zane continued. 

"Each mask embodies one of the three Oni warlords. If all three masks are united, whoever owns them will wield tremendous power." The man explained as he looked at some masks we had on display. 

"Ninja, this is Mr. Hutchins. Master at Arms and Counsel to the Royal Family. I've asked him here." Lloyd introduced the stranger to them. 

"The Royal Family?" Kai looked at Lloyd confused. 

"Apologies if you aren't familiar. They honor their privacy, as they do the safety of Ninjago." Mr. Hutchins explained. 

"Let me guess, they have an Oni Mask too," Cole said. 

"Two? Now there's two?" Jay said, but Nya quickly covered his mouth. You looked at her and sent her a thankful look. 

"The Emporer will be delivering a public speech tomorrow, and I'm worried the Sons of Garmadon may try to steal the mask. We could use your assistance, that is, if you can keep a low profile." Mr. Hutchins eyed us all critically.  

"We are ninja. No one will know we are there." Zane said and changed into his "Human" form. 

"Just let us know where and when." Lloyd bowed to Mr. Hutchins and the others followed suit. 

We all bid Mr. Hutchins goodbye after he had explained everything to us. 

"Royal Family huh? I wonder what they're like?" Kai said. 

"Your guess is as good as mine Kai." You smiled. 

"I just hope They're not snobby." Nya scoffed. 

"We can only hope." You said. You looked over at the window and saw Lloyd looking out over the city looking rather concerned. 

"Hey, what's got you looking so blue?" You walked over and hugged him. Lloyd smiled at kissed your forehead.

"What do The Sons Of Garmadon have to do with my father it can't be anything good. " Lloyd said. 

"I don't know what they want, or what they want to do with those masks. The only thing I know is that we have to do everything we can to prevent them from getting to those masks." You told him and squeeze him a little tighter. 

"But what if they get the masks and they succeed?" Lloyd said. You looked at him and smiled.

"Lloyd you defeated The Overlord, you've fought off Morro, and most importantly my husband, what makes you think you can't win this?" You crossed your arms and looked at him. 

"I guess it's the fact that it's something to do with my father, I guess I'm more nervous about that than the masks," Lloyd told you and you smiled at him. 

"Lloyd, you don't have to do this alone, You have the team and me on your side at all times. You are not alone in this." You stroke both his cheeks and you felt Lloyd's arms wrap around your waist. 

"Thank you y/n, what would I do without you." Lloyd leaned his forehead against yours. 

"You'd probably be without me." You said and Lloyd laughed. 

"I love you," Lloyd said and kissed you. 

"I love you too," You said as you pulled away from the kiss.
