(Damien's POV)A/N: *this gets a little steamy towards the end of the chapter, but it's not TOO steamy, if you know what i mean. So yeah... you've been warned*
Part of me regrets telling Teddy we would get him ice cream. The small boy practically runs on sugar—I'm sure of that. I got him a small and somehow he's already on a sugar high. He argued with me the whole time about how chocolate is way better than vanilla and how vanilla people are boring.
My thoughts are never vanilla when it comes to you teddy
I can't help but like the hyper side of him, just like i like every other part of him. Its adorable when he's on a sugar high though. He forgets to censor his words, and he compliments me every other second.
I know for a fact he's going to have trouble going to bed tonight, but i can't find it within me to care.
The minute we stepped foot into our house, Teddy immediately runs to the couch, practically flying as he flung himself face forward onto the white cushion. I can't help but chuckle at his childishness. I find it endearing and adorable.
"Daddy?" He asks, his voice slightly different, letting me know he's close to slipping. I don't mind if he slips. I told him he could be in little space after school and I'm sticking to my word.
I felt bad this morning for having to tell him he can't go into his headspace, but i knew that i did it for the best. As much as i hate when he forces himself to stay out of little space, he needs an education and he has to go to class to get that. I don't think I'm ever going to get the images of everyone's shocked faces when i kissed teddy in front of the lecture hall. I guess they're not used to seeing someone as rough as me with someone as delicate as Teddy.
My Teddy Bear.
The name suits him. He's just as cuddly as a teddy bear, and even more so when he's on a sugar high, like he is right now. He's especially cuddly at night time. He likes to wrap himself around me like a koala bear. I can't find it within me to complain though because i love the affection.
I never noticed how lonely i was before i met Teddy. And i know it may sound too soon to say that, but its the truth. I don't want to have to imagine my life without him.
I mean, sure, his consistent talking can get annoying sometimes, and he's a complete neat freak, but the smile on his face makes it worth it for me.
"Yes baby boy?" I ask, walking over to my little boy, who is now swaddling himself in a heap of blankets. He's adorable. I sit down next to him, wrapping an arm around him. He almost immediately cuddles into my chest with a small smile that makes my heart warm.
"Can we play a game daddy?" He asks, with a cute tilt of his head that makes me want to coo at the small boy.
"Of course little bear, what game do you want to play?"
"Wanna get to know you daddy" he says, blushing furiously as he buries his head further into my chest—if thats even possible— causing his words to be muffle slightly. I chuckle at his childish antics, absentmindedly tracing shapes onto his bare arm with my pointer finger.
"Theres no need to be embarrassed about that Teddy," i coo, smiling like a lovesick idiot, "Like 21 questions?" I ask, wondering if thats the game he was referring to.
"Yeah! Thats the gwame! Caweb tauwt it two me" he replies happily, smiling wildly at me, his voice obviously telling me he's in his little space. His hair is a bit ruffled up from all the blankets, and i find myself running my fingers through it, letting them glide through the silky smooth strands.
