(Damien's POV)

"Could someone pass the bread rolls please?"

"CATCH BITCH!"

A bread roll went flying across the table, hitting a kid, who Teddy said was Denis, in the forehead. The boy scowled at his twin, who I learned was Sam, before picking up the bread roll and starting to butter it.

This family is bat-shit crazy.

"Samuel James. Watch your language." One of Teddys aunts scolded the boy, who was sniggering into the back of his hand.

I'm normally very good with remembering names, but I'll admit, after Teddy introduced me to every single one of his family members, I forgot all of their names, which I felt slightly bad for.

All of them seemed very wary of me at first, eyeing me up like I was some sort of delinquent, or threat of some sort.

I didn't blame them though. Their precious little Teddy, who just so happens to be an absolute twink, brought home a muscular guy with tattoos, who is much taller than anyone else here. If I were them, I would be cautious around me at first too.

They warmed up to me though after a little while. None of them had the same reaction as Teddy's mother, which was relieving, because I'm not sure if Teddy could go through that again, and I didn't want to find out.

Their opinions didn't stop Teddy's mom from expressing her hatred towards me in any way though, which was blatantly obvious by the way she continued to glare at me throughout the night. Especially when I got too close to Teddy.

I didn't care though.

Teddy was my baby, and he opinions didn't change that. I would be close to him if I wanted to be close to him, and no amount of hate filled glares could change that.

"So hows college been Ted?" One of his uncles asked

"He's got a boyfriend dad. How do you think its going?" Denis responded sarcastically, earning a snort of laughter from Sam and a warning glare from his father.

Teddy finished his bite of food before responding. My good mannered baby boy. "It's been great" he responded happily, bouncing in his seat slightly. "I've made a bunch of friends, and my classes have been awesome so far— oh! By the way dad! One of my teachers said that he knew you."

"What was his name?" Marcus asked, raising his eyebrows in question.

"Professor Jack Collins" Teddy replied, before taking another bite of his chicken. I might not like his mom very much, but i have to admit, she knows how to cook very well.

Marcus muttered the name to himself under his breath a few times, his brows furrowed with confusion as if he was trying to remember something. His face lit up with recognition a few moments later. "Ah yes! Jack Collins. I remember him. It's very neat that you have him as a teacher."

"He's a very good professor too. I have an A minus in his class" Teddy responded, pride filling his voice.

Every face lit up at the new revelation, as they started congratulating him, and letting him know how proud of him that they were.

I'm so proud of how far Teddy has come in all aspects of his life. A few months ago, he would have pretended like it wasn't a big deal to him, or even at all. He would have lowered his standards for himself. It makes me happy to see him allowing himself to be proud of his accomplishments now.

I leaned over, placing a small peck on his cheek. He gave me a small smile in return.

"You two make me sick. How am I supposed to eat when you're being all lovey with each other, making me feel single?" Sam whined, throwing his head back dramatically. I winced when his fork slipped out of his hand, landing with a loud clank on his plate.
