(A/N: I had a lot I wanted to write in this. So I'm still deciding if I should do a super long chapter, or just do a double update and separate it into two chapters. I hope you enjoy :) please vote and comment because it means a lot to me. Also let me know what you guys would like to see in this book)

(ALSO. This is unedited, so don't be a dick and comment corrections because i know there are probably mistakes in here, I'm just too lazy to go back and edit them right now)

The way I woke up on Christmas morning was not what I expected. I thought I would be wrapped in two bulky arms and smothered with kisses, but instead, I woke up alone, and cold. My hand instinctively reached over to the other side of my bed, only to find it cold, letting me know Damien had been awake for a while doing god knows what.

I groggily climbed out of bed, putting on my fuzzy sponge bob pajamas before trudging down the stairs, getting closer and closer to the smell of bacon. I yawned, rubbing my eyes to try and help them adjust to the morning light as I walked into the kitchen.

"Morning Ted" My dad said from where he was in the kitchen, making pancakes and bacon.

"Morning dad" I responded, smiling softly at him, "Where's Damien?"

"Right here baby"

I whipped around at the sound of Damiens rough morning voice with a large grin on my face. He looked so domestic sitting at the kitchen table i grew up with, eating breakfast, while reading the newspaper.

"I didn't know you were a newspaper type of guy" I said cheekily, taking a seat beside him at the table. Part of me found it weird not being able to sit in his lap like I normally would, but I sucked it up for the time being, knowing this wasn't the time or the place.

Damien glanced between the paper, my father, and myself a few times, before leaning closer to me, covering our conversation with the paper from my dad. "Don't tell anyone but I'm actually just reading the comics." He whispered playfully, showing me the full page of comics he was reading, making me giggle.

"What's so funny Teddy?" My dad asked, placing a plate of pancakes and bacon in front of me, along with a small glass of orange juice. I knew I would be getting seconds. My dad was obviously not used to me eating as much as I have been since I've been with Damien.

That was pretty obvious by the shocked look on his face when I cleared my plate entirely, and went up for seconds.

"Woah Ted" he said, raising his eyebrows in shock, "someone's got an appetite"

"Damien's been helping me eat bigger meals lately" I shrugged nonchalantly.

It wasn't a very big deal for me, but it was obvious that my dad liked hearing that, considering the beaming smile he gave both Damien and I. I just barely caught him mouthing the words 'thank you' to Damien.

My leg was bouncing nervously as Damien and I sat on the couch later that day, waiting for my extended family to show up. Once again, my grip on his hand was relentless, but he didn't seem to mind.

I practically jumped out of my skin when the doorbell rang for the first time, causing Damien to chuckle at my nervous jitters. "Relax baby boy" he whispered to me, ignoring the glare he was getting from my mother for being so close to me.

"Easy for you to say." I replied sassily, huffing to myself. That earned a small pinch on the thigh from Damien, silently warning me to get rid of my attitude.
