The bell rang for school to end finally. I ran outside and looked at all the buses. Wait, what bus was I supposed to ride?

Before you get confused my mom brought me to school.

I sat down on a low brick wall and called my mom. She couldn't pick me up because she's stuck at work.

"Call your dad!" Some of you might shout, but he's in jail for child abuse.

I could walk... But I'm wearing boots not tennis shoes. My feet would be killing by the time I got home. I felt a tap on my shoulder and it was Bradley.

"Need a lift?" He asked.

"No, no I can walk it's only a mile or so away..."

"No way! You are not walking in those boots all the way home, come on."

I sighed and swung my bag on my shoulder and stuffed my phone in my pants pocket. We approached an old truck and he helped me get in.

"Thank you for doing all of this."

He seemed confused. "Don't thank me, I'm just helping you out, that's all." He shrugged my comment off and we pulled out of the parking lot.

I closed my eyes for a few moments but when I opened them we were at an old ice cream shop.

"I was just about to wake you, you want some food before I take you home?" I nodded my head and got out of the truck.

I sat down at a picnic table while Bradley ordered some food. I had asked for a sundae and mozzarella sticks. He came back with a recipt and I looked at it.

"I'll pay you back later." I sort of mumbled.

"You don't need too, I got it."

I looked at my phone and it was only about 4:30 and my mom wouldn't be home until 7ish.

About 20 minutes later our food came to us, I took a bite of my ice cream and my mozzarella sticks and dipped them in the sauce.

"This is really good..."

"I'm glad you like it, when do you have to be home?"

"Before 7"

We finished our food and it was almost 6 by the time we got into the truck again.

Brad drove me home in silence. I showed him the way to my house then I got out and he handed me my bag.

"Thanks for tonight Brad."

"No problem, see you tomorrow." He smiled and I waved goodbye. I stepped inside my house and ran to my room to draw. I turned my iPod speaker on and a song started playing.

"It's getting late now, I'm gonna have to let you go." I sang.

My cat jumped on my bed and snuggled on my lap. "Hey there buttercup! Can I draw you?"

She cuddled in a ball and I sketched the outline of her body. I fell asleep an hour later with my headphones on and my notebook and cat on my lap.

It was a good day. I'm glad to finally have this day end.
