I woke up disoriented. I felt numb and weak. I was stripped of my own clothes. All Time Low played softly in the back ground. I tried to sit up but a hand pushed me back down.

I realized I was freezing cold at that moment and that I wasn't on the park bench anymore.

A hand stroked my face and I heard a faint whisper. "Shhh, baby doll, it's okay, momma is here for you."

My vision was still blurry but I was able to see the outline of my moms face. I tried to speak but my voice caught.

"I'm sorry about everything darling. You were right, I am a monster. But I didn't--"

"Leave-" I coughed.

"Wh-?"

"Me-e Alo-one" I choked out. "Where's Brad-dley?"

My mom slapped me across the face and left the room. It stung for a moment and went away. I saw my phone and grabbed it. I dialed Bradley quickly.

"Please, please pi-pick me up at my moms house. She's holding me prisoner."

"What do you mean Arie?"

"She found me and brought me home, she just slapped me because I asked about you." I gasped as I heard something on the stairs. "I gotta go she's coming back."

I hung up on him and hid my face. My foot creaked open and in stepped my mother again. I got out of bed and stood shakily. I waked slowly to my bathroom and closed the door.

"Arie, what do you think you're doing?" Her voice sounded like knives digging into my skull.

"Noth-nothing mom. Just going to the bathroom." I sat down on the toilet and thought for a moment. I flushed he toilet so my mom wouldn't get suspicious then pretended to wash my hands. I pulled out my phone and locked the bathroom door. I slid down the wall and dialed 911.

Once the lady stopped talking I answered.

"Please she the cops or something please! My mom is holding me hostage in my own home and was beating me." I started to cry. "I live on 954 brooks avenue. Please hurry."

I hung up just as my mom was able to open the door. I glared at her and put my hands behind my head waiting for a blow to the head. Instead I felt an intense kick to my side. I sharply breathed in.

"You are a worthless daughter, just like your father. A monster."

She grabbed a fistful of my hair and yanked on it. I yelped and screamed. I tried to grab her leg but I failed to. "Leave me alone!" I cried and pleaded. She dragged me by the fistful of hair and dropped me in the middle of my room.

I didn't know what to do. I just layed there, speechless, my whole body trembling. I felt her punch my side. Trying to get me to speak. A dare to scream again. I felt numb and hollow again. I felt broken. She framed dad. She made him hurt me.

I rolled over onto my back and looked up at the crazed person I called my mom. "You'll never break me, you'll never be able to end me. I'm already dead." I took a deep breathe and yelled "so why do you even try to kill me more!?"

I closed my eyes and felt the strong blow to my stomach and thighs. I crumpled myself up into a ball and waited for it to all end.

I remember hearing the yelling of my mother.

The yelling of the police.

Someone picking me up and carrying me to the ambulance.

I remember the worried kiss someone put on my lips. One that would last forever.

I would never forget the horror I was put through. How I never noticed my mother was the true monster I will never know.

All I know now is that she will never bother me again. I will be left alone. I have my friends and possible my father. Maybe he won't be a monster. Maybe he will love me... Like he did when I was 8.
