I felt relieved to see Bradley laying beside me when I woke up. I sat up and yawned before stumbling to an open doorway that was his bathroom. I closed the door and took off my clothes before taking a bath. I pulled my hair up in a ponytail since Brad doesn't have a blow dryer.

I loved his gray eyes, his blemish free face, his fluffy brown hair with a swoop, most of all his caring personality.

I got out of the tub and wrapped a towel around myself. I snuck back into the bedroom and grabbed my clothes and creeped into the bathroom once again. I pulled on a solid black tee and tank and my light wash ripped skinny jeans.

I came back out and looked through my bag some. I pulled out my phone and charger and looked for an outlet. I saw one and walked towards it.

Before I made it all the way to the outlet I tripped over something covered with blankets.

"Ah, ooof." I grunted and got up. I plugged my phone in and looked under the blankets. A blue and black bass shined from underneath the blanket. "Wow." I whispered.

"Cool, right? My dad got that for me a few years ago."

I picked it up and started to strum the cords.

"It's super cool. When did you wake up?"

"When you fell. By the way, are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine." I sat the bass down, stood up, and hugged him.

We went down stairs and he gave me a bowl of cereal and a kiss. I giggled and ate my cereal.

"Get your shoes on, we have to leave for school soon."

"Okay." I mumbled. I pulled my shoes on and sat down on the couch. This is just way to nice of someone to do. I fiddled with my nyan cat bracelet and looked up to see Brad staring at me intently.

"Don't do what I think you might do..."

I shook my head and looked at his wrists again. His were worse than mine. He had a black shirt on and black ripped jeans on with a white belt. I stood up and followed him outside. He helped me into the truck and he got in himself and started it up.

I leaned my head against the window and sighed. He reached for my hand and grabbed it.

"It'll be okay one day..." He whispered.

"Can I stay with you for a bit?" I asked quietly.

"Yeah, of course, well until my parents come back.

"Okay." I whispered.

The day at school went by slowly. I got all A's on my tests and a few terrible remarks from some people about me. One small cut later and I ended up in the therapists office.

"Tell me why you cut again Arie. You haven't done it in a long time. Why now?"

I shrugged.

"Is it because your father is being released soon?"

I shook my head no and started to cry. "I came home from a date and saw everything in my room destroyed and my mo-mom killed my cat and wrecked my room. I didn't know what to do so I called Bradley and he picked me up on the curb and-and I stayed the night with him."

"I see. Are you and Bradley dating?"

"Yeah, he asked me last night before I got home." I blew my nose and heard the door creak open behind me. I turned my head and saw the girl who said everything to me. I felt like the room took away my breathe. I frantically started scratching at myself and whimpering.

I screamed as someone behind me with strong arms dragged me out of the room. I was breathing heavily and felt lightheaded.

"Shhhh, it's okay Arie. It's okay." It was Bradley. I dug my nails into his back as he hugged me tightly.

"I talked to my parents earlier today and they said you could stay." I smiled but remembered I didn't really have any clothes. Brad noticed my expression.

"We can take you shopping." With that he wrapped up the scratches and the cut. He told me to never do it again and led me back to the therapist.
