I came out of the bathroom in a loose black t shirt and red and black plaid pants. I had tossed my hair up into a messy bun. The dark purple bruise was very visible on my face now and it looked awful. The good thing is that it's not swelling.
My legs still ached and I wasn't hungry since my mom punched the appetite out of me. I sat down on Bradley's bed and snuggled up into him. He put his arm around my shoulder and gently touched my face. I winced some just to joke with him.
"Sorry! I didn't think it hurt that much!" I giggled.
"Nope, just messing with you."
"Okay, what movie?"
"Hmm, grown ups 2, or blended, maybe big hero 6? I love those movies!" He laughed.
"How about all of them?"
"Yes!" He kissed me and we started our marathon. Half way through Blended I fell asleep in his arms. He wrapped me up like a cocoon in the blankets, turned the tv off, and joined me in the wonderful heat. He was careful to not touch any of my bruises.
"Thank you." I muffled into the pillow.
"No need to thank me. By the way, my mom bought you a dress to wear tomorrow." He said sleepily.
I yawned. "Okay..." I fell asleep curled up in a ball in Bradley's arms. It felt nice to be safe.
Some point through the night I must of had a bad dream because Bradley kept rubbing my thigh. I didn't mind but I couldn't figure it out. I rolled over to face him and tucked his hair behind his ear. I kissed him gently on the lips before tucking my head into his chest.
He opened his eyes and lifted my chin kissing me harder. I put my hands on his chest and he grabbed my hips. I was pulled onto him with force that sent a shock through my body.
His tongue found its way into my mouth and I was just dumb founded. I pulled away and breathes heavily as he made a trail of kisses on my neck.
"Sorry, you're very hard to resist." He breathed out. I laughed.
"You sir, are an amazing kisser." He chuckled and I played with his hair some more. I rolled off of him and went back to sleep.
----
Click. Click. Click. Tick.I groaned and lifted my head up. I wrapped the blankets around me tighter and groaned again.
"Morning sunshine! You look like someone got in the way of your black parade." I laughed and punched him in the arm.
"Nice joke Brad. I like how you made it band related. Nice touch!" He laughed and winked at me before flipping his hair out of his eye.
"I call dibs on the shower first!" He yelled and sprinted for the bathroom door. I laughed really stupidly and might of snorted.
"Very immature Bradley!"
"It's what I do!" I sighed and flipped back on the bed and listened to the shower run. I felt the bruise on my face and realized it would take forever to heal. I don't think makeup will cover it, but it's worth a try.
------
"Ugh!" I groaned. "It'll never go away!"
It's been about a week since my mom has been arrested. My dad was found innocent but didn't want to see me just yet. He wanted to get his life straight which I totally understood. I spent my days hanging out with Bradley, Percy, and April.
Megan left the group to be with the other kids and Toby moved away. We were all sad, but then we realized he hadn't said much or done much for us anyways.
I had gotten a lot of sympathy from the kids I knew at school. The bruises seemed to never disappear. And the pain was still there. Inside my heart.
Bradley came over to me and hugged me from behind. "It'll be gone soon. It can't stay forever, right?"
I sighed. "I guess you're right. I jut want it gone now!" I stood up and groaned.
"It's Saturday, want to go see a movie?" He asked politely.
"Sure, but I get to chose!"
He laughed and he took my hand, grabbed the truck keys and we walked downstairs and out the door.
