Monday morning Louis’ alarm went off at seven. He stirred in my bed and groaned. “I don’t want to go to school…” He put the pillow over his head. I hit his snooze button and curled up next to him. “Play hooky,” I said closing my eyes to get another hour or two of sleep.

What felt like two seconds later his alarm went off again. “Fiiiine,” he mumbled sitting up and turning it off. I heard him getting ready but was too tired to get out of bed myself. The shower turned on and I was tempted to go join him…but that required moving. So I fell back asleep.

“Jovi…get up,” I heard what didn’t seem like very long after I closed my eyes.

“Hmm…”

“Jo-jo…up up!”

“Mm.”

“I’ll bounce on you and tickle you,”

“Don’t,”

“I will, get up,”

“Go to school,”

“When you get up,”

“Looks like you aren’t going to school,”

“You have work today, get up!”

“You get up,”

“I am up, you need to get up,”

“Go away,”

I rolled to turn my back to Lou. He jumped on me and started moving up and down.

“UP UP UP!”

“GO GO GO!” I shouted putting the pillow over my head.

“Come on, love!” he said and tickled my armpits.

“Stop Lou! Don’t tickle me there, I haven’t shaved in a few days,”

“Oh okay yeti, I’ll just tickle your stomach,” he said moving his hands down to my belly.

“Hey!” I said sitting up.

“There she is!!!” he said brightly.

“I’m no yeti!” and I laid back down.

“WAKE UP YETI!!!!!”

I opened my eyes to look at him. “You are so annoying right now,”

“Good!” he said with a twinkle in his eye, “Don’t you want to see me off to school?”

“I made you a lunch, it’s in the fridge,”

“Aww you’re so sweet!” he said kissing my cheek. I sat back up and he went to kiss my mouth but I stopped him.

“Nope. Morning breath. I need to brush my teeth before you touch this orifice,”

“Well hurry up, I’m not leaving without a goodbye kiss,”

I begrudgingly got out of bed and brushed my teeth. I went to the kitchen to see Louis eating some Fruit Loops.

“You really need better food here,” he said.

“I get paid today and the grocery store is the first place I’m going,” I said before kissing him, and eating the spoonful he held suspended.

“Poophead,” he said.

“Better than boobhead,” I said laughing remembering his dream.

He finished his cereal and grabbed his lunch out of the fridge.

“See ya later, love,” he said kissing me on his way out.

“Have a good day!”

He shut the door behind him and I turned to go to my bedroom. I laughed out loud…what just happened was so…comfortable. We were comfortable, and I loved it, I loved him. I loved what we had and it was still such a weird feeling to feel so free of any worry about the relationship, but it was so amazing at the same time.
