chapter 40

Lexi was the first one to get inside of the building, following a man that just walked in as everyone followed after her.
An elevator almost closed as she quickly ran inside of it, clicking the number 8.
Addison and Josh waited for new elevator while Bryce and Nessa started running up the stairs.

Lexi found an apartment banging on the doors.
Bryce and Nessa ran along with Josh and Addison, but no answer.
"Open them!"
Lexi yelled before Nessa moved her away. Bryce and Josh managed to make doors fly down as they kicked it with their legs.
Lexi and Addison ran inside, rest following.
Lexi ran in the bathroom as they all searched around.
She screamed seeing Jaden's body lying on the floor, lifeless. Everyone rushed inside of the bathroom to see what happened.
They tried to wake him up while Nessa was calling ambulance.

In few minutes ambulance got there, picking Jaden up as everyone rushed down.
Addison and Lexi complained with them to let them go in the same car as him, but they didn't let them. They followed ambulance car, not a single person in the car was okay. Everyone was crying, no one expected that from Jaden, he was never really suicidal.

They all rushed in the hospital searching for Jaden as they all ran on the sides of car Jaden was laying.
Both girls held his hand, telling him stuff, until doctors pushed all of them away.
Doesn't matter if they get screwed up for drugs and all stuff, they just want Jaden alive.
Bryce comforted Addison and Josh comforted Lexi while Nessa was calling Amy and John.
Lexi kept blaming it on herself, along with Addison.
"I sh-ouldn't le-t hi-m be al-alone!"
"It's okay babe, it's none of ours fault. We didn't know what he was capable of doing."

Time passed as it felt like hours, Amy and John rushed inside of hospital.
They all were there for each other, until doctors finally walked out. They all immediately got up, hearing what doctors had to say.
They all started jumping around as tears of sadness turned into tears of happiness.
He was alive. They couldn't see him right away, especially because he was asleep.

In the morning they were woken up by doctor.
"Is he awake?"
"Yes."
They all sighed in relief.
"I told him he couldn't see anybody right now, but he wanted me to inform him if his queen was there. Whoever is that for him, I wasn't supposed to say her 'name' but I wouldn't know who is it."
"Yes. His queen is here."
Bryce said hugging Lexi and doctor nodded smiling. He gave them more informations as they talked why would he do it.
They talked about therapy, like going in the mental hospital for at least month until he is fully recovered.
They agreed on that, knowing it's the best for him if he does.
Lexi new how was it there, she wasn't really happy about it but she couldn't complain against Amy's words.

"They said we can go inside now, Lex."
"Really?"
Girls face lit up as she couldn't wait any longer.
"Yeah."
"I'll let you all go in, I wanna talk to him alone."
Bryce nodded as everyone walked inside.

Jaden was excited to see Lexi, since he stayed on the earth, he thought it was a sign for him that they are not over yet.
Once evryone walked in the room, excluding Lexi, Jaden felt his heart broke.
Why wasn't she with them? Did she leave already?
All different thoughts filled up his head as they all talked to him, telling him that they love him, that they are glad he is alive and all that stuff.
They acted like they had to leave the room even if they didn't want to, but they all knew they needed to give both of them time.
None of them knew what happened between the two.

Everyone left, leaving Jaden in his thoughts.
Soon, doors of his room opened as at the first he thought was nurse as they were in room multiple times already.
He just closed his eyes letting them do what they wanted as he didn't want to watch. He felt like he was on verge of crying.
Girl grabbed his right hand, interweaving them, as he felt ring on her hand, making him snap his head towards her and open his eyes.
She softly smiled as tears started going out her eyes.
"Am I now in the heaven?"
"No. But I'll be your angel if you let me."
She joked, chuckling making him rub his eyes.
He felt tears forming in his eyes.
"I-I missed you."
"I missed you so much more. Please don't ever do this again. It was already hard for me having to live life knowing you're somewhere without me, I don't even wanna think how would it be if I had to live knowing you ended your life too early."
Her hand caressed his cheek as he broke down crying more, with her joining.
"Promise me you won't do this to yourself again."
"I promise."
He said his voice cracking and she leveled herself down on his forehead. She missed doing that.
He pulled her closer by back of her neck, kissing her.
She could feel all the alcohol, nicotine and weed in his mouth, but she missed his kiss too much to even pay attention to all that.
"I hate my dad for doing this to both of us."
"No you don't hate him. He was just trying to protect his daughter from dickheads like I am."
"Shut up."
"God I missed you so much."
"I thought you were going to save me, to kidnap me from them and disappear together with me, but you didn't."
"I'm so sorry, but I can't make you chose me over your family."
"You are my family too. You are my home."
"Princess you know what I mean. I just couldn't do it. And I'm not gonna do it. Why are you even here?"
"Cause Addi called me and said they were worried about you. You scared all of us Jaden. I ran away through my window, Nick helped me. And now that I'm with you I'm not going to leave you."
"No Lex, you need to go home, you'll get in trouble. Like, so much. And your parents will hate me even more."
"I don't fucking care anymore. They can't control my life."
"Lex, c'mon, don't do it."
"Now I have a month to fix everything and then when we're finally together no one will ever separate us again. I promise you."
"Why you have a month?"
"While you are in the hospital. you won't be able to see any of us. And I'm going to use that month. Now it's on them if we're gonna do it nice way or not."
"Lex please don't let them send me in that hospital."
"Jaden you need to. But once that is over, I'm not ever going to leave you again."
"I don't wanna go there. I'm not crazy."
"No one said you were crazy, but you need to put your mental health on first place. Be selfish once and stop caring about everyone or what they'll think. Please."
"Lex-"
"You'll go to same hospital i went few years ago. I know one nurse there. She was the best. And that way I know you'll be in good hands, cause I know how those hospitals can be. I promise you, you can't be crazy for caring about yourself. You'd only be crazy if you didn't care about it. Doesn't matter how old you are. This is not Jaden that I know. You don't even look like yourself Jae. You need help before we get everything back on track."
"When are they taking me there?"
"We'll go home now so you can pack everything you want and then we'll drive you there."
"Noo, that's another month without you."
"I'm sorry babe but it's for the best.
Okay, now they are going to get you off of IV and we are gonna go home. You need a shower too."
Jaden just looked down. He wanted to cry and scream on top of his lungs. But he couldn't.
Lexi kissed his forehead and left the room letting nurses do what they gotta do.
She sighed seeing she had missed calls from her dad. She was screwed, but she was ready to fight for what she wants.
Once Jaden got out his room they signed some papers and they were ready to leave.
Jaden and Lexi were in car with John and Amy, Bryce and Addison were in their car and Josh and Nessa in other. They were now just about to go home.
