chapter 41

They sat in the car driving to Jaden's house.
Girl pulled him to lay down on her lap. She caressed his cheek, arm, back and played with his hair.
She felt awful. And all of that was her fault. She left him. She could've escaped somehow on the time. But she stayed, letting him go through all that alone.

Once they arrived, they saw whole house ruined, Addison already knew it because she went there to pick up Marley.
Lexi pulled Jaden upstairs with her, so he could shower because he smelled really bad and looked like a homeless guy.
She took all his clothes off of him, opening shower for him as he complained at first.
She turned water on and finally got him to wash his body.
She started packing everything - clean clothes that were yet not ruined.

Once she heard water turn off she walked back in bathroom.
He tried to shave his mustache and beard, but his hands were shaking so he cut himself a little.
"Okay, I'll do it, don't worry."
She said taking his razor and gently shaving him. She didn't really know what she was doing since it was her first time, but at least she didn't cut him.
He washed everything off and she put some moisturizer that he uses for that.
"There's my pretty baby boy."
She said squeezing his cheeks before she pecked his lips.
He pulled her back in for a real kiss and she let him. No feeling of alcohol and drugs was on his tongue anymore. Only mint from toothpaste.
She finished packing him walking downstairs.

Meanwhile, others looked through the house. It was all mess, no food to eat. They wanted to make some food for Jaden as they realized he didn't eat anything for God knows how long because he looked weak. His skin was pale since he didn't see sight of sun for a month.
They agreed they'd just stop at some place to grab food, since there was no thing to eat here.

"Lex?"
"Yeah?"
"Where are my chickens?"
"You don't have chickens."
"Lex, I know I was on drugs but I'm pretty sure I didn't made up the part where my sister gave two births in my head."
"Ooh, kids-" She said as she busted out laughing.
"I thought you meant real chickens."
He started laughing a little with her. Her smile made his heart melt.
"Addi left them to that nice neighbor of theirs."
"I wanna see them before I go."
"We'll ask them now."
He nodded, he really wanted to see them. He missed them a lot.
"Addi?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think you can pick up babies? Jaden said he wanted to see them before he goes in the hospital."
"Uh, yeah, sure."
Girls whispered while amy was hugging Jaden, whispering stuff to him.

They got in cars, starting their ride to the hospital.
On the way there they got to restaurant and soon Bryce and Addison joined with kids.
Jaden was happy to see them again.
He smiled when they walked in, raising his hands to take kids from Addison.
Lexi also missed them a lot.
They played with them while Bryce and Addison ordered food.
They ate, making Jaden eat to, along with Lexi. It was hard for both of them, as they both barely ate anything in month.

Once they arrived to hospital they signed all the papers and all that stuff, spending last few minutes with Jaden.
He was about to break down, but he decided to act all tough and shit, like he didn't mind going in mental hospital without any contacts with them.
"Vanessa!"
Lexi squealed seeing her favorite nurse. Woman looked at her for a second realizing who is it.
"Oh my God Lexi you grew up so much!"
She said hugging her.
"I missed you so much!"
"Are you coming here again baby?"
"No, my boyfriend is."
Lexi motioned with her hand, grabbing Jaden's as she pulled him closer.
"You finally got boyfriend?"
"Yeah."
Lexi chuckled.
"This is Jaden. Jae, this is Vanessa, my favorite person."
They all introduced themselves and started talking.
"Yeah, so I thought, ya know, it's hard in these, so I thought I could at least make him feel more safe with you, since you helped me everytime I was here."
"Of course, I'm so glad he's going to be with me."
Woman smiled at them, she was really nice. She is around 55 years old, and she treats everyone there like they are her own kids.
Even though it got all of them a little confused when Lexi said 'everytime I was here' as they thought she was staying here more than once.
"Okay, now you guys say your goodbyes, I'm gonna steal this a little older kid."
Vanessa said as all of them hugged with Jaden saying their goodbyes.
"I'll miss you so much."
Jaden whispered in Lexi's neck.
"I know, but now you need to take care of yourself and then we are going to work on us."
He nodded pulling away.
She grabbed his ring finger, connecting it with hers as their rings where connected too.
He smiled kissing the back of her hand and then kissing her on her lips.
"You promise you'll be here in exactly 30 days?"
"I promise I will be here."
He nodded, telling her last 'I love you' before he walked away with Vanessa. She yelled back 'I love you too' and he gave them last weak smile before walking behind the corner.
They all sighed, it's gonna be hard for another month, but they at least know he is safe now.

"Lex, where are we driving now?"
John asked as they sat in car again.
"Um, can you drop me off at Jaden's house? I wanna clean all that mess so when he's back it doesn't give him bad energy."
"Okay, we already planned on doing the same."
Amy smiled and they started their ride home.
Once they got there, they started cleaning.

"Woo that was disaster."
Amy said moving sweat from her forehead and looking around with Lexi.
John went to put all the trash out the house.
"This is better then what it used to be."
"Yeah."
They sat in living room on the couch, drinking their sodas.
"So are you going to stay here or go back to your parents? What even happened between you and Jaden at the first place? You guys didn't seem to have issue."
"Well, um, my dad overreacted. I mean to some point he was right, but he didn't need to separate me and Jaden and tell me that I no longer can be with him."
"Why? What happened so he overreacted that much?"
"Well, um, back in June I believe, um, you know, I was pregnant. And I didn't want the child, I'm too young to be a mom, so, you know, Jaden and me went in the clinic. I didn't want to tell them, I just didn't want trouble, so we kept it secret. But recently I found out that my uncle knows. And it made me feel even worse for lying, cause like, he knew and they didn't. And there was that other thing my uncle did, which I wanted him to tell his daughter. So he said if I tell them he'll tell her."
"Oh God, why didn't you talk to us? To me at least, I would've helped you."
"I know, we just didn't want anyone to now. And then, when we told them, I realized they knew the whole time, but they just waited to see how long I'd hide it. Which made it even worse. For both, me and Jaden. So he really overreacted, it was so dramatic, but I guess now there's no going back."
"Oh, I'm sorry for all that honey. You shouldn't go through all that alone."
"And, of course, we planned to tell you two after my mom and dad, but all that happened, so yeah."
"It's okay sweetie."
She pulled younger girl in hug giving her a smile.
"So what are you going to do now?"
"Well now that all this happened, I'm not planning on giving up again and letting Jaden go. No way I'll do it. I'm gonna stay with him, no matter what my parents say. I'm my own person and they can't and shouldn't control my life."
"Of course. Well, I'm gonna be there for you. If you ever wanna talk to somebody, I'm here."
"I know, thank you mama."
She smiled at her again. Amy's such a sweetheart, Lexi really loved that woman.
