chapter 52

"Hey guyss."
I said once I walked into living room where everyone was.
I hugged everyone, kissing Jaden's cheek before picking up Jackson from Bryce's lap.
"Hey bub, we didn't see each other in a while huh?"
I smiled kissing his cheek and squeezing his body a little.
One of his little arms were around my neck and other one held my finger. I sat on the couch beside Jaden and kissed Eva's cheek before I joined their conversation.

Day passed, we odered some food to eat, Blake and Amelie also came over and then we just messed around for the rest of the night.

After they left, Jaden and I walked upstairs, both tired as fuck and laid together in bed.
"So how was it with your dad?"
"It was good. I'm going there tomorrow too because he needs me for something."
"Oh, well that's okay."
"How was your day?"
"Stressing. We are tryna make a plan for getting everything back but it's just not going anywhere."
"I'm sure you'll figure that out."
"I will, but it will take me time."
"It's okay, just don't stress too much about it, please."
"Well I can't control it. It's five fucking millions."
"I know, I know, come here."
I pulled him in my embrace, playing with his hair while he sighed.
I started tracing his arm tattoos, making him sigh again and totally relax under my touch.
Thank God my dad will make that plan work with me. I can't watch him be so stressed about something. Plus, he has the anger and madness that he holds inside, so he just snaps at me for no reason because he doesn't have anyone else to do it on them.
"Jae are you asleep?"
He mumbled a 'no' but I knew he was falling asleep.
"Wait, let's get under covers."
"But I'm not tired."
"I am cold, please."
He moved and we got under covers and I played with his hair before I heard his light snores. I kissed his head and turned off my lamp.
This is gonna be one long week.

Tomorrow, I met up with my dad again, and we talked about the plan. I'd have a gun with me, but I won't use it unless it's really needed. I don't wanna have anyone's blood on my hands.
"I think this should work."
"Okay, but please, You have to work smart and be careful. I'm not gonna loose you because of 5 millions. Okay?"
"I will dad. But you have to be too. I'm not gonna loose any of my family for 5 millions either."
He cupped my face and kissed my forehead embracing me into a hug.
"I'm letting you do this now and never again. Do you understand? I never ever want you being in these things."
"Okay, I won't. Thank you dad. Is mom still mad at me?"
"She's-, well she isn't mad. She just doesn't want you in that. Just like I don't want you. But if I don't help you I know you will do that on your own which is more dangerous."
"Okay."
"Oh look, she is calling me."

"Hey."
"Hii mom."
"Hey. Again with that mission?"
"Yeah."
She shook her head, sighing.
"I just wanted to check up on you. And I wanted to ask what you want for dinner. Nick wants to order something."
"You can order whatever you guys want, I'm down for anything."
"Okay then, we'll see yet what we'll order. What are you doing Ale, besides your damn mission?"
"Meh, nothing much actually. I'm just stressed about it and I just want it to be over."
"Is Jaden making problems?"
"No, no, I just don't like seeing him that stressed. And I see how stressed he is and really holding back not to snap at me. It's making me stressed too."
"Oh."
"Yeah, but it's gonna be over really soon."
"But be careful. Okay?"
"Don't worry mom, you know it's gonna be okay."

Later on we hung up and then there was a meeting for that mission where we talked about the plan. This shit better work, or I'll be dead tomorrow.

I drove to Jaden's office because he told me he had meeting at that time.
I waited in his office, looking at his papers.
I studied his plan. Well this is good, but they'll need time for that.
"Hi babe."
He walked in the office making me look up at him.
"Heyy."
"What are you doing?"
"Watching your plans."
"Oh, and what do you say?"
"I think it's great."
"Really?"
He asked kissing the top of my head.
"Yeah."
He spun the chair, so he was in front of me, placing his hands on the arm rests of the chair, lowering his back and head on my level.
"I'm really missing you past days."
"I know, I miss you too."
He kissed me, before looking me in the eyes.
I pulled him back closer, kissing him again.
"You're so gorgeous."
He kissed my nose and my forehead, before resting his chin on top of my head.
"You smell really good."
"You think so?"
"Mhmm. I love your cologne."
"What are you doing with your dad these days?"
"I can't tell you."
"Oh you can't?"
"Family secret."
"So I'm not the family?"
"Then it's Mafia secret."
"You're hiding something from me baby," He said moving his head from top of mine so he was looking me in the eyes again, "And I don't like it."
"Well, I'll tell you in few days, okay?"
"Okay, I'll trust you on that."
"As you should."
I smiled cupping his face and caressing his jaw.
"You wanna go home now?"
"Yeah, let's go."
I got up, now his face just few inches from mine.
"You see, it still makes me feel special that I can make you nervous just being this close to your face even after almost a year of being together."
He smirked tucking a piece of hair behind my ear, after my breathing hitched up.
"Guys, are you going home now?"
Bryce busted through the doors.
"You know, knocking is a thing here."
"What, not like you'd fuck in the office with doors unlocked."
I rolled my eyes walking away from Jaden. I picked up all of my stuff and grabbed Jaden's hand in mine.
"See you tomorrow Bryce."
"Bye Bry."
"Bye guys."
He sat in his car and Jaden and I sat in our cars, driving back home.

On my way home I talked to Josie on the phone. We haven't talked like this in a long time.
"Okay, I gotta go now, I'm almost home. I'll talk to you soon."
"Okay, love you."
"Love you too."
I hung up before parking the car in the garage, while Jaden waited there for me.
"Going to sleep?"
"Yeahh."
He picked me up, making me wrapy legs around his torso.
"We should feed Marley, I bet he ate all of the food we left him."
"I'll feed him, you can go change and lay in the bed, I'll be there in a second."
He said placing me down right when reached the top of the stairs.
"Okay."
