chapter 7

"Can we grab sushi?"
"Noo, we are going to Chick-fil-A!"
We argued, making our way to food court in the mall. My arm wrapped around Michael's, John and Lynn on his right side, Larri on my left.
I looked around, while my mind was in another dimension, but something caught my eye.

Yeah, I should probably explain what happened in past two months. Well, Michael and I are in 'talking stage', still getting to know each other, even though I wasn't even that interested like he was. And I do lay in bed every night thinking if I'm a bad person, using him just to get over someone.
Addison also birthed the twins, I went over to their house few times and they were at mine few times, but always making sure Jaden won't be around for any chances. It still hurts me to see how things ended between us, but I try not thinking much about him because I'm trying to get over him.

Jaden. With Bryce and twins. No fucking way. I realized I was staring at him once that he started staring at me.
Larri nudged my arm showing me with his eyes in their way.
Bryce waved to me smiling.
Damn, now I gotta go there and say hi.
"I'll be right back, you guys go and order food."
I said letting go of Michael's arm.
"What happened?"
"Nothing, I just gotta say hi to some friends."
"Okay." He said kissing my head.
NO. Ew. You can't kiss my head while Jaden can see.
No, wait. He should do, I have to show him that if he doesn't want to love me I'm going to find somebody who will.
"Hey Lex! I haven't seen you in so long!" Bryce said embracing me in hug.
"Heyy, yeah, it's been quite a while.
Hi babiess." I said lowering myself to level of two babies that were in baby carriage.
"You got a new somebody huh?"
Bryce said making Jaden roll his eyes.
"And why is that?" I say looking at Jaden. He can't roll his eyes at that when he didn't even try texting me for two months, and now that I'm in front of him he is not going to even say a word.
"What?"
"Why'd you roll your eyes when you can't even say a word to me? It shouldn't bother you if I have somebody, you showed it pretty clear that you want nothing with me with not saying a word to me for two months. If you don't want to love me, doesn't mean somebody else won't."
He gulped as Bryce pressed his lips together.
"Not gonna say anything?"
"Look Lexi, I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, but do you really think he loves you? Or care about you?"
I clenched my jaw and my hands formed into a fist. How he even dares to say something like that? Fucking dickhead.
"Screw you Jaden."
I started walking away but he grabbed my wrist, turning me around.
"Leave me alone Jaden."
I don't even know what am I feeling right now. I'm so mad and anxious at the same time. And hurt that he'd say something like that to me, just to hurt me. Like he knows something about me and Michael.

"Hey dude! Get off of her!"
Michael said pushing Jaden away.
"You shut the fuck up, I didn't ask you anything." Jaden said clenching his fists.
"Jaden just fuck off and leave me alone. You don't need to make a scene in fucking mall!" I said grabbing Michael's arm pulling him back.
"Sure, I'll leave you the fuck alone with that motherfucker that you don't even know."
"Don't call me motherfucker you bitch, I don't even know who you are."
"Yeah, but I know who you are. And I also know that she is not the only girl you are talking to, or even sleeping with."
What?
"Wait what?" I said confused. where did he get that information from?
"Just yesterday he was having a girl over in his apartment, she spent a night there. And she's not the only one who he is hooking up with."
"W-How do you know about that?"
"Man, you better shut the fuck up. C'mon Lex, let's go eat."
Michael started pulling me away.
"No! Get off of me! Jaden tell me. How do you know all of that?"
"I said that I'll keep eye on you. If not me than somebody, and it led me to things you'd probably never find out about."
My eyes started watering.
"Lex he doesn't know what is he talking about, c'mon, let's just go eat."
"No! You fucking dickhead!"
I slapped him across his face, running out the mall right after.
I stood in front of mall while texting Lynn, saying that I have to go home and that I'll see them other day.
It didn't hurt me that much that he cheated on me, it hurts that JADEN told me that. And that he actually cared that much about me past two months to have people following every step, even though it sounds creepy and he still didn't even try contacting me.

I felt somebody grab my arm and pull me to the car. I couldn't see who was it because my vision was blurry of tears in my eyes.
They sat me in car and few seconds later I heard other doors open and close.
"Here."
Oh, I know that voice. Jaden.
He handed me the water bottle.
"I'll drive you home."
I didn't say a thing. I just let him do what he thinks he should, I never lost my trust for him to be the most respectful man towards woman.
"I'm really sorry that you had to find out this way Lex. I really didn't mean to ruin your love with him"
"I don't fucking care about him, he was just a fucking rebound, but I didn't expect it from him."
"Rebound?"
"Yes."
"For who?"
"I don't know, not pretty sure but I think the guy's name is Jaden." I said throwing my arms in the air.
"I don't fucking love him, the fuck I'm still not over you! My love obviously can't fade away that fast like yours can!"
"You think my love faded away?!"
"Obviously, since you didn't give a fuck about texting me or asking if I'm still alive!"
"If I didn't care for you why would I have people having an eye on you and checking out the guy you talked to to make sure he deserves you?!"
"Well I don't know!"
"I fucking do love you Lexi! It will never fade away."
"Then show me that you love me, don't push me away!"
"I would if I could, but I can't! I can't cause more bad things happening to you just cause I'm in the job that I'm in!"
"I'm so fucking broken Jaden! And it broke me even more with you leaving me! I don't fucking care about your job! Sure it's scary and it made me every day think if you'd come back home alive and all in one piece, but I had to be there! And I never planned on leaving you, unlike you!"
"You think I liked it when I had to push you away and let you walk out of our house like that?! You think I liked it?!"
"If you didn't why didn't you just stop me?!"
"Because I couldn't! It was for your sake!"
"No! Don't talk bullshit, 'for my sake' . It was just for your sake cause you are scared of people loving you and you were scared that I'll leave you so you left me first!"
"Don't do this Lexi, it's just harder!"
"You think it wasn't hard for me?!"
"No, I think it was hard to both of us. But it still doesn't change that you should live a normal life, without having to worry every day if I'll come home in one piece, like you said!"
"Why do you need to be so hard person every time?! Why can't you just love me?!"
"I do love you Lexi, but we both know it's not right!"
"Well if you love me, then show it, don't act like you don't want me!"
"Just stop already!"
"You are the one that pushed me in your car and said that you'll drive me back home!"
As we stopped at red light, near my house, he put his hand tightly around my throat and pulled me closer to him, smashing his lips on mine while I let out a quiet moan.
"You really don't understand when I tell you to shut the fuck up?"
He said pulling away and driving again.
I just sat there, my panties already wet because of him, thinking what he could to do me.
Soon, he parked the car in front of my house. Turning it off, he looked at me.
I pulled him closer by his neck, connecting our lips again. I missed them. I missed the feeling of his lips on mine and how they moved in sync while his hand was on my cheeks. Goddammit.
I grabbed his car key from his hand and got out the car.
