chapter 9

JADEN'S P.O.V.

I sat down in my car, slamming my head on steering wheel. Fuck me dude, I almost had her back. But I know I can't. If we didn't just had 4 rounds I would call Madison and get my stress out on her, but it seems too boring, and Lexi is much better than her. I drove back to the office, I had to find a distraction.

"Hey Jae." I heard Madison say just as I walked in the office. She scared the shit out of me.
"Shit, you scared me."
"Sorry. I've been waiting for you here, where have you been?"
This bitch is so fucking annoying. Why she needs to know everything?
"None of your business Madison."
"Wow what did I do now?"
"Just leave me the fuck alone, I'm not in the mood for conversation."
"Well, are you in mood for something else?" She said walking to opposide side of my desk, bending over, trying to show me her non-existent boobs.
"No, I'm not. And I'd like you to leave me alone now."
"What happen? Did you hook up with someone else?"
"That's none of your businesses."
"Wow, are you seriously cheating on me?"
I chuckled. Only if I wasn't in bad mood I'd die of laughter right now.
"Don't be silly Madison."
"So you didn't hook up with someone?"
"I can't cheat on you when we aren't together."
"What do you mean? We are together for two months now, after you left that whore."
I slammed my hand on the desk, making her jump back a bit.
"Do. not. fucking dare calling her a whore."
"Why do you care so much about her? I thought you loved me?"
"No I do not love you, I still am and always will be in love with her. You don't even know how to live in relationship. You just like to fuck and argue, nothing more."
"I didn't expect this from you."
"Just get the fuck out of here and leave me alone. Find someone elses dick to suck, I'm fine."
She slammed the doors of my office and I sat down on my chair, slamming my head down on the desk.

I fell asleep in my room here, I spent most of my nights here. Going home without here there doesn't make sense to me. It was around 11 am right now, and I decided to call Derek. Yeah, I know it sounds stupid, but I need to talk to him.

"Hey Derek."
"Hi Jaden, you needed something?"
"Uh, yeah actually. I wanted to talk to you about Lexi."
"Did something happen to her?"
"No, not really. I just wanted to ask you if you think it's smart if I try it again with her?"
"Well, I don't know. None of you talked about the trip that happened two months ago, so I'm still confused if the real reason to break up with her was just that the guy kidnapped you or what?"
"I am deeply in love with your daughter and I really love her, but I just, I'm not sure if it's smart if we get back together, if she still wants it."
"What do you mean if she still wants it? Of course she does, she still loves you. She never fell in love before, until you came here. She was with people for much longer period, and she fell in love with a month of meeting you. And I don't think she's ever been happier than she is when she was with you."
"I know, but I also know I put her in more danger."
"I know, but they all are in danger, our families are in danger. But if anything I think she's more safe with you then she is on her own. I know that you always try protecting her."
"So you think that we should try again?"
"I mean, sure if you two are happy together. I'm happy when my daughter is happy. And she is in same amount of danger when she is with you, or when you two are separated."
"Okay then, thank you Derek."
"Sure, but don't even try breaking my daughters heart again, cause I'll break you, I promise you that."
"I know, I hope I won't."
"Okay, I gotta go son, I'll talk to you soon."
"Okay bye."

Okay, now I have to try my best to get love of my life back.
I sat there, thinking.
"Cooper?" I said walking out of my room.
"Yeah?"
"Look, I need help from you."
"About?"
"I want to win Lexi back."
His face immediately lightened up.
"Finally. But don't even try playing with her like you did yesterday."
"I did not play yesterday, I meant everything I said to her."
"Sure but you have to show it to her."
"What should I do?"
"You should maybe buy her flowers, take her on nice date or something, be all romantic and lovey, without 'hooking up'. Cause it makes her think you just want her for that."
"She told you that?"
"What?"
"That I make her think I only want her for sex?"
"Look, it's not my place to talk. All of this is my opinion."
"Hmm sure. I didn't know you were all lovey dovey romantic guy Coop."
"Oh shut up."
We both laughed and then we watched around the restaurants on the internet to make a reservation.
"Okay, now you go and shower."
"Hey, I did ask you for help, but that does not mean that I'm not your boss anymore." I joked and he did a funny pose with his hand.
"Understood boss."
I laughed walking back in the room taking a shower. After I dried my hair I got on some pants and shirt.
"Okay, now we'll go find a store with nice flowers and tell them to get it ready at certain time so you can go home and change clothes to some casual but nice clothes."
We walked to the car and drove to flower shop. They'll make a nice bouquet with red roses, sounds cheesy but her favs are roses. I also talked to Cooper and I'll send her bouquet of different colored roses.
I got home and got ready.
"Okay, now don't mess it up, and remeber, keep it in your pants!" He yelled after me making me glare at him.
"Just shut up."
I walked to my car, picked up flowers on my way to her house in Malibu.

I knocked on her doors, bouquet of roses in my hand along with chocolate, butterflies in my stomach. I was afraid she would reject me and tell me to fuck myself.
"I'm coming, I'm coming!"
I heard her beautiful voice yell through the house.
I heard the doors unlock, doors slowly started opening, making me more anxious.
She was wearing oversized tee shirt, you could see just a bit of her shorts under it, her hair in messy bun.
"Jaden?"
"Uh, hey."
"What are doing here? And what is all that?"
"I, uh, that's for you."
"For me?"
"Yeah, here."
I put my hand out for her to take a bouquet and chocolate.
"Why is all this?"
"I thought I could take you to dinner tonight? I really wanna prove it to you, you are so much more to me than you think."
"Look Jaden, -"
"Please Lex. Give me one more chance. I promise I'll improve this time."
"I look like a total mess right now."
"You look absolutely beautiful to me. Aand you have enough time to get ready."
"Jad-"
"Please. I won't give up. I won't leave you alone until I win you back."
She looked around for few seconds, than to bouquet and chocolate.
"How much time I have?"
"Hour and half."
"Okay then, I have to take a shower, you could've informed me earlied you know?"
She pulled aside a bit.
"Come in."
I walked in and she closed the doors behind. She left the bouquet on kitchen counter running upstairs.
"Hey Marley, I missed you bud."
Wow he grew up already.
I waited for hour and twenty minutes and she walked downstairs, her hair straight down and her curtain bangs in perfect shape. She had a black silky dress on with converses.
"Wow."
I managed to get out while my eyes couldn't leave her body.
"Are we going now?"
"Yeah. Let's go."
She closed Marley in his court sipping him food and then walking to doors as I opened them for her.
After locking the doors, I rushed to car opening the passenger doors for her.
"Thank you." She said sitting down in the car.
I smiled jogging back to drivers seat starting the car.
"I really like the new haircut."
"Well, thank you. I like it too."
I chuckled quickly looking at the most beautiful girl ever and then looking back on the road. Her hair was around her shoulders, curtain bangs. I also noticed she had more piercings on her ears once she put her hair behind her ear. She is so fucking beautiful and I am so fucking stupid.
