"Number Zero seems to have grown in power after the whole Five accident. I suggest we experiment even more. She could become my most powerful weapon. Even if it may be painful,"- Reginald Hargreeves

Zero's POV

Training ended for the day and I was as exhausted as ever. Dad pushed me even harder, and my ears bled again. He huffed and left the room with a, "Go clean up, work harder next time." Thanks Dad, it's not your fault or anything. It is.

Mom rang the dinner bell and I headed down, ignoring the blood stains on my dress shirt. I put on my blazer, knocked on Five's door, and waited. I knocked again.

"I'm coming," He yelled, "Why are you knocking so-" He opened his door and made eye contact with me, "Oh, Hi Syd. Shall we go down to dinner?"

I rolled my eyes, "There's a reason everyone thinks you're so grumpy."

"I know," He sighed, "Be nicer to people and they won't think you're mean."

I smiled, "Precisely, Five." He grabbed my hand and we went down to dinner.

Me and the rest of my siblings came down the stairs and waited behind our seats for Dad. He came down, pulled his chair out, and ordered we, "Sit."

I sat next to Five and across from Ben. At the dinner table, I heard Luther and Alison's lovey thoughts. I tried to shake it out of my head because it made me want to vomit. Why would Alison pick Luther of all people? He's ugly and annoying. From next to Five, Diego was playing with his knives. God, that boy and his knives. Don't tell him, but I actually stole a couple from him. Klaus was 'secretly' rolling a joint even though he wasn't being very subtle about it. Ben was reading an Anton Chekhov book- one I recommended to him. Vanya was looking depressed as usual. And Five, had an agitated look on his face.

'Why won't dad let me time travel? I can do it. I'm powerful enough? Right, Syd?' He pondered, making eye contact with me.

'I don't want you to risk something bad happening to you, Five.'

His mouth turned into a scowl, 'And it won't, as long as I know what I'm doing.'

'But do you?'

He rolled his eyes, 'We're not having this conversation, Sydney.'

Five finally had enough as he stabbed his knife into the table. Way to pull a 'Diego', Five.

"Number Five?" Dad asked, not really caring about his answer.

"I have a question,"

"Knowledge is an admirable goal, but you know the rules. No talking during meal times. You are interrupting Herr Carlson."

My head jerked as the sounds of everyone's confusion began to fill up my mind.

Five shoved his plate away, "I want to time travel."

"No."

A drop of blood fell out of my ear and onto my hand. Vanya made eye contact with me, before I quickly swiped it away.

Five was not taking no for an answer, "But I'm ready. I've been practicing my spatial jumps, just like you said." Five stood out of his chair despite my over so growing concern. He spatial jumped right next to Dad.
