"Now that Number Five is gone, Number Two has started to pick up the pieces of Number Zero. This is surprising since there was always an intense rivalry between the two. Nowadays, Zero and Two are seen ganging up on Number One together,"- Reginald Hargreeves

Zero's POV

I jumped back into the room with concerned looks upon everyone's faces.

Five asked concerned, "Where were you?"

"Sorry, sorry. I was just on the roof, but you were saying something before, Five?"

Five did a double look on my exterior before continuing, "Uh, right. Hazel and Cha-Cha work for my former employer. A woman called The Handler-" Five paused as his mind raced .

I held Five's hand,  "She sent them...to stop me. Then, soon as Diego's friend got in their way, well, fair game."

"And now they're my fair game. And I'm gonna see to it they pay."

Five called out as Diego began to leave, "That would be a mistake, Diego. They've killed people far more dangerous than you."

Diego didn't even turn his head as he continued out the door, "Yeah, we'll see about that." He slammed the door again.

"They turned me into the perfect instrument for rehabilitation of the time continuum. Or 'corrections' as they called them. I wasn't the only one. There were others like me. Beings out of time, fractured, extracted from the lives that they knew. I don't know how they got there. But I do know that none of them were as good as me. They didn't realize it, but I was biding my time, trying to figure out the right equation so that I could get back. If I could just get back, I knew I could stop the apocalypse. Save the world. So I broke my contract."

The room was quiet. Luther was thinking about how immoral it was, and I was thinking about how it was exactly what Dad made me do. Luther passed Five and I two cups of coffee.

"So, you were a hitman?"

"Yes," Five revealed.

"Uh, I mean, you had a code, right? You didn't kill just anybody."

I scoffed, "Luther, do you have first-hand experience in the assassin industry?" He shook his head, "Precisely what I thought. How about you shut your loud mouth about how 'wrong' it is to kill people. We both know that you just sat by and watched Dad turn me into an assassin." Luther just sat there emotionless- not really liking how I had just called him out.

"No code. We took out anyone who messed with the timeline."

Luther glanced at me shocked, as if wondering why I didn't look phased. Did this man just forget what I just told him?

"What about innocent people?"

"It was the only way I could get back here."

Luther whined, "But that's murder."

"Jesus, Luther, grow up. We're not kids anymore. There's no such thing as good guys or bad guys. There's just people, going about their lives. But when the world ends, all those people die, including our family," Five let out a sigh, "Time changes everything."

Luther sighed and left the room. It was just Five and I left.

"So...do you remember what happened last night? Cause, I sure as hell don't," I laughed.
