"Number Zero is slowly growing stronger everyday, obedience is the key with that one. Another matter to discuss: The experiments on Number Zero, have caused her to stop growing at the age of 15. It may be temporary but it's likely to be permanent,"-Reginald Hargreeves.

Zero's POV

Klaus and I skipped out the door, desperately wanting to get away from Luther. He then pulled out a fancy silver box which he promptly kissed.

"What's that?" I asked.

He gave me a confused look, "What's what?" He hid it behind his back.

'She could clearly see it, Klaus,' A voice chimed in.

I looked at Klaus as my confusion settled in, "Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?"

I scratched my neck and claimed, "Klausy, I swear I heard someone talking."

Klaus peered over beside him, seemingly at thin air, and wore an annoyed expression "That's strange. Have you taken any drugs?"

'Klaus, don't joke with her. Syd is feeling overwhelmed with all the voices in her head- you know how that feels like,' The voice spoke again.

"There, I heard it again." I knew I wasn't going crazy. Dad had always told me I'd be able to contact spirits. But this spirit sounded familiar. It was as though I knew the spirit.

"Oh, that?" Klaus asked. I nodded my head, "That's this ghost who keeps stalking me. I wouldn't worry about it, Syd."

"Okay, but I swear it sounded like Ben."

"That's weird."

The time came for our 'family meeting'. Luther led it because he was the 'appointed leader' of the group, even though numerically, zero comes before one. It was quite awkward how all of us just sat there, basically forgetting that we spent our entire childhoods together. Klaus was being his normal self- fixing up a drink in the back. The fire crackled, while we all avoided eye contact with each other. That didn't make it any less awkward for me, since I could hear everyone's thoughts.

'I wonder when Luther's going to blow dad's death out of proportion,' thought Diego.

Diego got Luther's inner dialogue spot-on, as Luther wondered, 'Dad's death was most definitely not an accident. He was murdered, but by who?'

Alison was worried about more pressing concerns, 'I am not quite sure if anyone in this family is okay.' I know that I'm not okay, Alison.

'God, I just want to go home already,' Vanya thought rather depressingly.

And there was Klaus, 'I wonder if you can make drugs out of rockets. You can grind it up easily. Better question, can any candy become a drug and can any drug become candy.'

That was my family in a nutshell. Oh, and my thoughts being, 'Can we go home now?'

"Um, I guess we can get this started then. I was thinking we could have a memorial service in the courtyard at sundown. At dad's favourite spot," Luther explained as he stood up and addressed all of us. I took a seat on the couch Vanya sat at.

"Dad had a favourite spot?" Alison asked but everyone was thinking it.

"Yeah, under the oak tree. We used to sit out there all the time. None of you did that?"
