"Sydney has an oddly intimidating personality. You'd think no one would take a 15 year old seriously, but boy, would you be wrong,"-Diego Hargreeves

Five's POV

We stormed into the bar where Luther drank down his sorrows. I almost scoffed at the sheer immaturity Luther had regarding Father. He didn't care about you, so what? He never cared about any of us, get used to it, you space monkey.

The three of us entering the bar, slightly making me miss the presence of Syd. Klaus pointing to a barely drunk and very depressed looking Luther, "Look. Trying a little hair of the dog, are we? Hm?"

"Leave me alone," Luther grumbled, focussing his attention back to his alcoholic beverage of choice.

"Give us a minute," Diego instructed his us, ushering us away with a wave of his hand.

Klaus pulled me away, "Okay. Come on. Maybe they'll brood each other to death." We went to stand next to a spot close to the exit.

"Look, Dad was wrong to lie to you. To all of us," Diego explained. Luther wasn't having any of it.

"Look, I did my time. All right? Four years up there, watching and waiting because he said the world needed me. Four years of nothing but soy paste and processed air because I was naive enough to believe that dads don't lie to their kids. But guess what? The jokes on me." Luther took a big sip of his beverage. Diego twiddled his hands against the table, while trying to get help from Klaus and I. I just narrowed my eyebrows as I focused my attention on the floor- anything was better than listening to a whiny Luther.

"I'm done. With all of it. With him. With you. With this family. You wanna save the world, you go right ahead." Klaus gestured to me that we were running out of time, and I almost raged on Luther. What was not going through his monkey brain?"

"I'm fine to sit here and finish my beer and...get my...buzz on." He took another sip, more reluctant than last time.

Diego lifted his eyes to look at Luther's, "You want to turn your back on me." Diego looked towards us, "This guys, that's fine..." He let out a sigh "...but Alison and Syd deserve better than that."

Luther squeezed his eyes as he tried to remember something, "Alison? Syd? What are you talking about?"

"Well, we got ahold of Harold Jenkins' police file. Turns out Vanya's boyfriend is a convicted murderer," Diego explained.

Klaus gasped beside me and mumbled, "Diego owes Syd. She won the bet, again."

"Who would've saw that coming? A little hard to trust anyone who wears corduroy."

Luther drew his eyebrows together along with having a lingering scent of confusion, "Wait, so...where's Alison now?"

"She, and Syd, well...they decided to go after Harold Jenkins. Alone."

Luther shouted, "You should have led with that!" He then stood up abruptly, getting ready to save his 'little girlfriend'. I mean, I guess that's what I'm doing too, damn. Well...Syd would kill me if she heard I called her 'little'.

"Jesus Christ," He mumbled. Luther practically ran out of the bar, the three of us following quickly behind him. Luther then ripped the door slightly off the hinges, the glass window cracking in the process.

Zero's POV

We arrived at the hospital with officer Cheddar, and I have to say, he's growing on me. The whole time he was telling us stories about him and his wife, or him and his friend, Steve. Cheddar's stories always had a funny ending, something I wasn't used to. Usually all my stories ended with me killing someone, or me getting injured, but usually the first.
