Beeeeep
Dream flickered away, groggily getting up from his bed.
To say that he hated the wake up noise would be an understatement. You eventually get really tired of the same rhythmic beep.
"Everyone is due at roll-call, not showing up will result in punishment" The speaker blared.
Dream trudged to roll-call. He'd never truly understand the point of it because it seemed everything big happened during the day, not during the quiet night.
Roll-call went as usual and before he knew it, it was already over.
"It's time for everyone to go to the canteen" Rang out another speaker.
Reaching the canteen was easier than usual, and of course as soon as he entered, he could see the others at the table already.
Dream was quite frustrated about always being the last one of the group to get there, but oh well.
"Good morning" George greeted as Dream sat down.
Everyone seemed tired as usual, though Sapnap seemed extra tired with bags under their eyes.
"Didn't get good sleep?" Dream tried to kickstart a conversation with Sapnap.
Sapnap just glared at him silently.
Why is he like that? I say one casual thing and all he does is stare menacingly.
"Well.... Uh- George, how have you been- lately?" Dream struggled to find words to say.
"Fine. Other than the death of Illumina, it's not a big deal" George's voice was laced with annoyed sarcasm.
Apparently no one is a morning person.
"Y'know I'm always here to talk" Bad appeared next to him.
"This is not a good time" Dream hissed under his breath, hopefully low enough that no one could hear.
"Apparently it's never a good time to talk to you..." Bad pouted before looking away dramatically.
"That's because I'm surrounded by people, specifically Sapnap" Dream continued to whisper.
"Eh, people thinking that you talk to yourself is the least of your worries. Especially since you have to explain everything to Sapnap today!" Bad managed to say the last bit in a faked cheerfulness.
"You saw that conversation?" Dream was surprised.
"Mhmm yeah I did. I don't always have to show myself to you, y'know" Bad made it sound as if it was obvious.
"First of all, stop saying 'y'know' because if I'm asking the question then clearly I don't know. And second of all, whatever" Dream whispered.
"I wasn't saying y'know because I thought you knew, I was saying that to make sure you were paying attention because you were suppose to agree" Bad squinted as he spoke.
"You have terrible logic" Dream turned away, done with the conversation.
"Sure, you can think that. But my logic is perfectly fine" Bad promptly then disappeared again.
Dream sighed.
Ding!
"Its time for a hour of lockdown, please return to your cells or you will be forcefully escorted" The speaker rang throughout the canteen.
Dream abruptly stood up and made his way to his cell.
As soon as he entered the cell, the door slammed behind him.
