"But wouldn't that mean that Tommy is a.... spy?" Sapnap continued speaking.
"I guess so. I don't think there's any other reason he'd be lurking inside the common room, talking to a scientist on a walkie-talkie or whatever it was" Dream's tone was hesitant.
"Do you know what this implies, Dream? There could be other spies in the facility, literally anyone we know- or we think we know- could be a spy!" Sapnap came to a realization.
"I mean there's a chance that Tommy is the only spy-" Dream started to speak.
"No, probably not. And this also means that we can't tell anyone about Antfrost. Because even if Tommy is the only spy, someone could accidentally tell him" Sapnap carefully told Dream.
"Why don't we just expose Tommy?" Dream asked.
"We can't, because first of all; it'd be pointless and either no one would believe us OR we'll get taken away by the scientists and experimented on" Sapnap explained.
Dream paused for a second, sighing.
"I wish everyone in this facility wasn't so secretive. I barely even know who I can trust anymore. I thought George was someone I could always trust, but with the way he's been acting lately; I don't think I can anymore" Dream admitted
"Yeah, I wish there wasn't as much lying around here" Sapnap's words were confident but he seemed to be- nervous?
There was a silence between the two as they walked towards admin.
"Hypothetically though, what if someone had a really good reason for lying about something and keeping it secret?" Sapnap inquired, his voice unsure.
"Well, typically secrets that have good reasons for lying about them are really big secrets that could hurt someone if it was found out" Dream thought about it for a second before responding.
"Can I tell you something?" Sapnap said, a bit confidently.
"However, the only reason a big secret would be kept is probably because the person is trying to avoid someone getting angry or upset at them. And that's inherently a selfish reason to keep a secret. Also, you might as well multiply any possible anger or disappointment a person would feel when it's found out BECAUSE it was kept a secret" Dream quickly rambled, slightly ignoring Sapnap's question.
Sapnap suddenly looked like he'd lost any confidence he had.
"AND keeping secrets from someone will break any trust a person has with you. Especially since sometimes a person will never forgive you after that, and people can hold grudges against you. It turns an accident or small lie into a huge chain of events, all because it was kept a secret in the first place" Dream finished rambling.
Sapnap glanced away for a second.
"Anyway, what did you want to tell me?" Dream finally asked.
"Nevermind actually, I forgot what I was going to tell you" Sapnap replied, looking on-edge.
"Sorry for rambling, I'm glad I can trust you though" Dream apologized.
"Yeah... me too" Sapnap hesitantly responded as the two reached the entrance of admin.
Dream kicked a part of the wall near admin, thinking that it was the weak spot that was their entrance into the secret room.
Thud!
"Ouch" Dream muttered, his foot throbbing in pain because he kicked the wrong area of the wall.
Beside him, Sapnap pushed the correct chunk of wall out. Sapnap chuckled at seeing Dream's failed attempt. After that, Dream proceeded to crawl through the hole, greeted by the familiar cold floor and the pretty dark room on the other side of the wall.
