Weeks had past since I was taken by my mother. She gave me excuses after excuses, explanations and reasons but I just couldn't believe her.

She left me. She made my own father give me up to another family. And I was left all alone. Yes my life was great but now I wish I could go back. Go back to when I didn't know anything. When I was a innocent child that saw the world as all rainbows and magic, turns out it's the complete opposite. The worlds dark and only getting darker. The light is further than ever and no one can reach it.

I had stayed in my room drawing as the hours of the day went on. Mum wouldn't let me leave the house just in case someone found me.

She had been teaching me a lot and showed me her library. It had more books than the one at Hogwarts, you could probably get lost in it. The shelves were full of books on each and every subject, ranging from pure magic and dark magic. You could definitely tell she was a Ravenclaw.

Today I decided to leave my normal spot in the library and cross over to the dark magic section. I don't know why but it intrigued me somehow. Like the books were calling me to look at their pages.

I stood from my chair taking the books I had finished back to their spots on the shelves and walked to the book cases full of powerful dark magic.

I grazed my finger tips across the spines of each book slowly as the dust built up on my skin. They obviously hadn't been touched in a long time. Most books were on the unforgivable curses and other dark spell but I knew all about that.

I stopped at the book named The Secrets Of The Darkest Arts. I pulled it off the shelf and took it back to the table.

I sat back down in the wooden chair and tied my hair back so I could read it without it being in my way.

I opened the book and as soon as I did the dust raised from the pages forming a cloud around me. I waved it away as I coughed from the amount I accidentally inhaled.

I looked back down at the pages and flicked through the contents. I recognised almost all the words until I came across something I had never heard of before.

Horcrux.

I flipped to the page it was on and began to read. It didn't make much sense to me. It just spoke about splitting ones soul so you cannot die. It became boring so I just shut the book after I scanned over a few more words.

I heard the door of the library open and I rushed over to the book shelf and shoved it back in the gap.
I went back to the table and sat down continued to draw.

I was nearly finished. I had began drawing a flower, a white rose to be exact. Mum had paints so I used them for the white. I was never much a fan of red roses as they were so common and were always related to love so I liked the white roses, I guess in some way they're unique.

I heard footsteps behind me and them felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up expecting mum but it was Alex.

I jumped up out of the chair and hugged him tight. This was the first time I'd seen him since he took me here. It was around the beginning of May now and it was starting to get warm again. At this point I really wanted to go outside. The closed of gotten was sticking my head out the window, that didn't end well.

"Alex" I exclaimed whilst pulling away from our hug.

"It's good to see you Serena. I've missed you so much, you have no idea, schools been boring without you" He said.

"What have I missed?" I asked.

"Umm well..." He muttered. I could see in his eyes he was holding something back.

"Alex what is it?" I questioned

He frowned before continuing, "Serena, it's Draco...he Umm... I don't know how to say this but...he's hurt..Harry I-Umm I think something happened and then...he did a spell and now Draco's in the hospital wing...he nearly died"

Those words took me back. I stumbled back to the chair and stared down at the table. He nearly died.

My eyes welled up but I didn't let the tear drop. I raised from the seat and ran out the library door and ran down the steps of the stairs, I made it to the door and I was about to turn the doorknob before it all went dark as something hit me in the back.
