KNOCK

                          Chapter fifty six

Mae had found me in the hallway after Pansy had attacked me she didn't do any real damage but we went to Madame Pomfrey for a potion. After that we went for dinner and then we began on homework.

I wrote the last sentence for my potions essay and leaned back against my desk chair. It was now 10 o'clock, still two hours away from meeting Draco. I thought about going down to the lake earlier but I didn't want to get caught as I know teachers are still wondering the halls at this time and it's hard to get passed them.

I couldn't think and I'm sure I'd have to rewrite my essay once I reread it tomorrow. The only thought was what Draco wanted to say to me. We had to be careful and none of us had wanted to risk sneaking out to meet each other. It was to dangerous and you'd rather be dead then face the consequences to come after, not that anyone had, yet.

It was now 11 o'clock, one hour left. I was still panicking. Mae had passed out, bored of waiting for the time to come so now she was sprawled out across her messy bed.

I smiled and walked over to her bed pushing her under the covers and moving the hair out of her face. She squirmed but then went back to her peaceful sleep.

I walked back over to my desk, drawing aimlessly across the page of parchment. I had finished the butterfly drawing just the day before and it was now in my school bag. I didn't really know what to do with it now. It was just sitting there.

Mae told me to sell it. Alex told me to keep it or give it to my dad as a gift. Maybe I should give it to my mum and then draw another for my dad. I'm not sure yet so that's why it's still in my bag.

I can't send it to them from here as someone's bound to find out who and where I'm sending it so it would give away me mum, dads and Tonks houses away to Voldemort so I had to wait either way.

I was tired of waiting. My legs and hands wouldn't stop shaking so I got up from my chair and pulled my black jacket from the bed and put it over my top.

I looked at Mae once more, deciding to leave a note just in case she wakes up before I get back.

I quietly closed the door behind me and began making my way to the black lake. I love it down there, not only was it pretty but it's also where Draco and I had our first kiss. Where I was to selfish to go back inside and I was freezing so he gave me the jacket, the jacket I'm still wearing today. I never gave it back.

I made it out of the castle and apart from the cold weather it was nice. No clouds filled the night sky so the stars shone bright above the lake. The reflection of the moon was beautiful on the water and I could see the outline of my love by the shore.

As it got closer my heart beat got faster and faster. What was happening?

I was only a few meters away when I saw yet another figure make itself known. The brown hair in the moonlight and the low bun was easily noticeable. Nat?

The platinum blonde boy was pulled in by her and all I saw was their lips on each other moving in sync just like ours once were.

I didn't know what was happening. I froze in place, not able to move. I kept my eyes trained on the two until they pulled away.

Draco looked dazed but he smiled until his smile suddenly became a frown and he turned away.

I didn't see his face after that. I was already half way up the hill, running towards the castle doors. I ran into the silent hallways my shoes hitting the floor was all that could be heard.

I ran down the stairs and I could hear the faint sound of shoes behind me but I ignored it deciding to carry on down the corridor and back to my dorm.

I said the password and the door opened immediately. I sprinted for the girls dorm stairs and I made it down to Mae and I's dorm.

I opened the door and heard a scream come from Maes bed from the suddenness of the opening door.

"Merlin Rena!" She yelled until she noticed the tears that covered my face and shirt.

I pulled off the jacket and threw it to the floor. I stamped on it, over and over again until there was nothing but mud left on it.

I heard the loud knock on the door and cried more. Mae ran to me holding me in a tight embrace. I cried into her shoulder not bothering to speak.

She held me for a few moments more until another loud pound came from the door of our dorm. She let go of me and led me to my bed making me sit down and the grabbed the dirty jacket up from the floor. She placed it on her arm and walked over to the door.

She opened it slowly and I heard the loud yell of Dracos voice and Mae pulled out her wand pointing it at his face telling him not to come in. I saw him look at me but I looked straight down and played with my hands as I heard Mae shout.

"Whatever you've done Malfoy you've fucked up! Here's you jacket, needs a good wash" She exclaimed before slamming the door in his face and locking it so he couldn't get back in even if he tried with his wand.

She rushed back over to me and pulled me into her were I cried for hours until I fell asleep.
