My eyes fluttered open as I took in my surroundings. I was laying in my bed the duvet over my body keeping me warm. The last thing I remember was running down the stairs to the door trying to get out, now I'm here.
"Serena can you hear me?" Someone called shaking my arm roughly.
I nodded in answer.
"Thank god you've been out of it for hours" He said.
I looked beside me and it was Alex. He smiled down at me and moved a strand of hair out of my eyes. He stood from the chair and walked over to the dresser. He picked something up and walked back to me.
He past me a bar of half eaten chocolate. At first I was confused but he pushed me to eat.
"It will make you feel better" He said.
I smiled and broke of a square of chocolate. I put it into my mouth and let it melt on my tongue. Then I took another square, followed by another and then another, until I'd finished it.
Alex laughed at me as I had realised there was none left. I looked up at him and decided to ask him what happened.
He explained that I'd tried running out but mum stopped me just as I opened the door, now I'm here. He told me mum had gone out for things, he was holding something back but I didn't push.
"Draco! What happened?" I remembered he was hurt.
"Serena, Serena, calm down. Madam Pomfrey is looking after him, he'll be fine" He assured.
"Why...why did Harry do it, he's my friend. I thought......I thought wrong" I said.
"Harry didn't mean it. He followed Malfoy into the bathrooms and they fought, Harry used a spell that he didn't know, it was a tragic accident" He replied.
"Is he that stupid? Why would he use it if he didn't know what it did?" I questioned.
"I don't know" He answered.
"I need to see him" I said.
"Serena you can't do that, Voldemort's hunting you down. It will be easy to get to you." He responded.
"How. Draco won't take me to them. I know he wouldn't"
"But what if he had no choice. What if he would be killed or his family, what would he do then?" He exclaimed.
I went silent.
He scoffed "See you don't know what he'd do if he was threatened"
"What if he isn't even a Death Eater" I said.
"But you know that's a lie, don't you Serena" He muttered.
I didn't answer.
"That's what I thought." He snapped and walked out the room slamming the door behind him.
I stared blankly at the wall and screamed. I screamed all my pain, sadness and anger out. It worked in the moment but after a few minutes it came back.
I wanted to smash everything.
I hadn't seen anyone for weeks. My mum practically kidnapped me, just to keep me safe. I don't think so but why else. What else would she need?
