ALIVE

Chapter fifty nine

This morning was perfect. I woke up in the arms of Draco and we shared a moment of cherish forever. I'd never thought I'd feel that much pleasure in my life and I wouldn't take it back any day.

I was now laying down in my dorm with Mae whilst I read and she scribbled across her school books trying to come up with something impressive for her divination essay.

"I give up" She huffed and threw the pen at the wall.

"What did the pen do to you?" I laughed.

"Existed" She exclaimed.

"Ok what's wrong because I don't think an essay would ever get you this worked up" I said and she sighed.

"It's Blaise," She spoke. "He's talking about joining you know who but I told him that he shouldn't but he just ended up shouting at me so I just left"

"Mae I'm so sorry" I said and stood up when I realised she was crying. I wrapped my arms around her small body and hugged her tight. She buried her face in my shoulder and cried for a while until there was a knock at the door and I had to pull away to answer it.

I unlocked the door and opened it slowly to see who had knocked.

Stood in front of me was a crying Nat with messy hair and a bloody lip. I looked at her puzzled for a second. Before I could get angry I pushed it away and opened the door wider for her to come in.

Mae poked her head out from under the covers and wiped her eyes as she stared at Nat.

"What happened?" I asked Nat.

She didn't answer but instead broke down in the middle of the floor. I quickly ran to her and stabled her as she was about to fall and helped her to my bed where she continued to cry.

She was trying to speak but nothing really came out apart from mumbles of 'he' and 'sorry'.

"Nat what's going on? What's wrong?" I asked again.

"Rena, I'm-im...h-hes alive" She cried and leant against my body.

"Who Nat?" I questioned.

"N-Noah" She muttered and then she went silent. The tears stopped but they still dropped down her cheeks as she tried to wipe them away. "You-I'm-I...I'm sorry-I-I didn't know"

"Nat shh it's ok" I said and now I was crying.

Mae had come over from her bed and wrapped her arms around Nat and I did the same. She looked different. She was pale and small, like she hadn't had a proper meal in weeks. I grabbed my blanket from behind me and wrapped it around her before getting up and grabbing a jumper for her. I took both of her arms and was about to put it on until I noticed the inky mark colouring her skin. The mark I had seen many times before.

The dark mark.

Nat was a Death Eater. No, she couldn't.

"Nat?" I exclaimed and stared down at her arm. She must of noticed that I'd seen it and pulled her arm away and began to shake and cry once more.

"Please don't hate me..I-had-n-no choice. They were going to kill m-me and h-him-I-I couldn't let him d-die, not again-not for real" She gulped and continued to cry.

Tears fell down all three of our cheeks as we listened to Nats words. She was a Death Eater and my brother was alive and most likely one of them but he was alive and that's all I could be happy about. Nat had done this because, I don't really know. She never cared for my brother and he never showed any particular interest in her either but then again 6th year was interesting between them and I did always spot Nat looking at him at meals. Maybe she did have some sort of interest after all.

"Have you seen him?" I asked.

She nodded as another tear dropped from her eye.

"I'm sorry I never spoke to you, Pansy was threatening me and I couldn't talk to any of you and then the Draco thing, please forgive me, I didn't know what I was doing. I told Pansy I wouldn't do it" She cried.

"Nat, it's ok" I smiled and hugged her.

"We forgive you" Mae said. "How could we not we've, known each other forever"

"Merlin I missed you guys" She exclaimed and pulled us into one another as we all laughed and cried together.

My brothers alive and Nats a Death Eater. What a day.

Sorry for the short chapter but this was an important chapter and no more needed to be said.
