Chapter forty six
The letter had been sent and I just hoped it would get to Draco. Maybe even get a reply. It took hours of contemplating whether or not to send it. That letter had everything about my past in. I wouldn't give just anyone that information.
Was it too early to say I love you?
Merlin what have I done? Why did I send it? What if his parents find it? Or worse a Death Eater or mouldy himself.
At least I didn't sign it but still if anyone knows about my last they're bound to know that I wrote all the words in that letter. If they find out I love Draco they might take him away too. I couldn't let that happen.
Four days until Hogwarts. That's how long I have to wait to see him again. That's if he even comes back. He might not.
I need to see the girls again. We had written to each other over the summer. Mae more than Nat. Nat seemed to be distancing herself from Mae and I. Mae told me she hadn't heard much either. Who knows why. 3 letters that was all I got from her, Mae 4.
In the end she stopped sending them all together after the 4 weeks into Summer. I had got nothing since. She said nothing about going away or not being able to write she just wrote what she'd done and we caught up.
Mae got her last letter at the 5 week mark but that letter was normal too. No warning that she wouldn't send one again.
I didn't want to think about that so I decided to clear my head by a bit of muggle baking. I had gotten quite good at it this summer. I was always good at it but now I seemed to know every recipe in the book.
I decided to go with the simple chocolate chip cookies. Quick and easy. I grabbed all the ingredients from the cupboard and placed them all down on the counter. I took the bowl out from the draw and began to make the mix making sure to add more chocolate chips than the recipe said to.
After making the cookies I placed the raw dough into the oven, making sure to leave some dough left over to eat whilst I wait for them to cook.
When the cookies were cook I pulled them out the oven and placed them on the side to cool. I didn't leave them for long because I was so hungry. I put a few on my plate and walked into the living room where Tonks was rocking in her chair. She was still pregnant. This baby just doesn't want to come out.
"What a cookie?" I asked interrupting her peaceful reading.
"Yes please" She nodded.
I passed her one of the cookies and then sat down in one of the chairs. I stuffed my face as I stared at the blank wall.
"Where's Remus?" I asked.
"He told me not to tell you" She answered.
"Please Tonks" I begged. "I'll do the washing for a week"
"You're going to school in 4 days so that will never happen." She said.
"Oh yeah....please just tell me" I asked again.
"Fine but you can't be mad at me. I'm just the innocent pregnant woman" She stated.
I nodded at her to carry on.
"He's at a wedding" She told me.
"A wedding" I exclaimed. "Who's wedding? Was I just left out of this."
"Your dad did it for a reason. He wanted you to be safe and he doesn't know what's going to happen at any point. It's easy to get to them." She said.
"Who's wedding was it?" I questioned.
"Bill Weasley and Fleur" She answered.
I huffed and sulked in my chair. This was the best thing that's happened all summer and I was left out of it.
Tonks managed to bring around Remus about going back to Hogwarts so that's good but he's keeping me away from everything. I mean I'm great full that he's trying to keep me safe and all but what's life without a little risk?
I didn't want to fight with Tonks so I just stayed in the room and continued to stare at the blank wall.
