"We checked every corner of every room, there's no one here."
Kaoki explained to the girls, who started to get what the boys were trying to say.
"You guys only checked the corners of the room?" Mizuka said mockingly as Kaoki rolled his eyes are Mizuka and Yuue, who were stiffling their laughs.
"You know what he meant, Mizu." Hajito said, rolling his eyes, "But we're telling you, it's like the other people vanished into thin air. The ice in the other customer's drinks are still frozen and the drinks are still fizzy. It was so weird."
"We still don't believe you." Yuue said crossing her arms as she leaning on the wall of the karaoke room, "How are we supposed to believe that people vanished into thin air. That's not possible!" Yuue claimed as she chewed on her thumb finger nail, "It must be that the staff here forgot there were people in room 16."
"Well it is. And we have a feeling that all of us have to get out of this karaoke room." Kaoki claimed as he gathered his stuff and stepped out of the room, "Come on, we have to stick together." He said as he grabbed Yuue's stuff off of the couch and handed it to Yuue, "Hurry."
"Okay, okay. But if this is any prank, I'm going to kill you two." Mizuka threatened as she her baseball cap on and followed Kaoki, "Yuu, let's go." Mizuka tugged on Yuue's arm.
"No one forgot anything, right?" Hajito asked as he gave the room one last glace, "Remember, we're not coming back here." Everyone nodded, "Okay, let's go. You two stay inbetween Kao and me, just in case." He gestured at the two girls as they nodded.
"Wow, look at you two being manly." Mizuka snickered and teased the boys, "I may fall for one of you if you keep it up."
"Really?" Kaoki looked at Mizuka with hopeful eyes.
"No, that was a joke. Why are you so gullible?" Mizuka replied coldly, "Now let's go. You said something about this place being dangerous, right?"
One by one, starting from Kaoki, the group exited room 16 into the pitch black hallway. The two girls looked around them, only to see no people in every room.
"Oh wow, no one's here." Yuue whispered, surprised. Every room looked like people had been there before hand, the ice still in the cups, the mic on the table, and some phones even left behind, "Oh, I forgot to mention but our phones for some reason doesn't work."
"Really? Not because you forgot to charge it this morning?" Hajito teased, making Yuue roll her eyes in annoyance, "Sorry, sorry." He pulled out his phone from his pocket and tried turning it on, "Oh, you're right. Mine was charged up to 70%, it was like 30-something% when I arrived at the station. That's pretty odd."
"Okay, so if the electricity is out, then we may have to use an emergency exit because this place doesn't seem to have any staircases inside the building." Hajito pointed out as he found the unlit emergency exit sign.
"Won't the alarm go off, though?" Mizuka asked worriedly, stopping in the middle of the hallway.
"If you don't want to leave here, be my guest. But right now, it's safety first." Kaoki said as he glanced back at Mizuka, "Now let's go."
"Did you know that there are going to be fireworks tonight by the Edo River?" Hajito asked Yuue as they were getting ready to push open the big metal exit doors, "Oh, it may get loud, cover your ears, Yuue." Hajito pushed open the door, "Maybe not."
"I didn't know that, I'll probably watch it on TV with my family." Yuue looked at Mizuka and noticed her looking over at her with hopeful eyes, "And yes, you too, Mizuka."
As the heavy doors opened, no alarm rung and on the other side was a fires escape stairwell. Hajito gestured for the other to go first.
"Mizu and Yuu, you two go first." Hajito said as he held the heavy doors open with Kao, "I'll hold it open, Kao."
"You sure? These doors are pretty heavy." Hajito nodded, "If you get injured, it's not my fault." Kao shrugged, as he let go of the heavy doors and followed the girls down the stairs.
"Ouch!" Haji was trying to close the door when the door slammed on to his left arm.
"Oh my goodness, Haji! Are you okay? Didn't Kao just warn you about how heavy it is?" Yuue scolded as she rushed up the stairs, back to where Hajito was, "Let's get you down first and then we can get some treatment."
"Okay, thanks." There was an obvious slump in Hajito's left side of his upper body, "Can you help me down the stairs, Yuu?" Yuue nodded as she put her arm around Hajito's waist, helping him get down.
"What happened? Is Haji okay?" Mizuka looked up at Yuue and Hajito, who were coming down the stairs, "This is why you don't try and show off, Haji."
"Shut up, Mizu." Hajito mumbled under his breath, "But, yeah, I just accidentally slammed the door on my left arm. Ouch." Hajito winced in pain.
"Sorry, Haji. I'll be a little more careful." Yuue apologized trying to support Hajito while trying to go down, "Tell me when I need to be a little more careful alright?"
"You're lucky we're nice to you because I specifically told you." Kao rolled his eyes and sighed, "But, one more flight of stairs, you're doing great." Kaoki said as he went to the front so he could lead the rest of the group, "We'll take him to the hospital as soon as we get down."
"Good idea, his left arm looks disoriented so it's best we go take him to the hospital." Mizuka looks at Hajito's arm from behind, his arm bent in the opposite way than usual, "You may have broken your arm, Haji."
"You should've have listened to me, Haji." Kao shook his head in dissapointment.
Hajito hung his head, feeling bad for making his friends very worried about him. As the group apprached the last step, they noticed an eerie silence. The streets that was filled with young women shouting out sales notices from small boutiques a few hours ago was no where to be heard.
"Why's it so silent?" Yuue asked curiously as they all got down on the ground.
"I mean, it may be because we're in the alleyway. Not many people come to the alleyway, let's just go to the main street, I'm sure many people are there." Hajito leaned on Yuue a little more, "Sorry Yuue, it kinda hurts badly."
"Don't worry. I've got you." Yuue replied, adjusting herself and grabbig a stronger grip on Hajito's left side.
As the group walked out of the alleyway and over to the main street, there still was no sign of people. Just empty streets with empty shops as if people had just been there a few seconds before Yuue and the other did.
"That's odd, no one's here." Kaoki pointed out as the approached the main street, "Where did everyone go?"
