"So, what's your names?"
Kuina asked, driving towards what she had said was the "Beach". Everyone was crammed in one car and running on the dark night highway that only echoed the noise of their car.
"I'm Irin Mizuka, 16." Mizuka musters the courage, introducing herself to the people sitting infront of her, "This is Barano Yuue, also 16." She points towards Yuue, "This one's Amata Kaoki, 17 and the one with the broken arm is Sashi Hajito, 15."
"So, we have Yuue, Mizuka, Kaoki, and Hajito. Am I right?" Kuina asks, eyes still on the road ahead of them. Everyone in the back, except for Kaoki nodded, "Do you guys have any questions about the games? I think we may be able to answer some that you have."
"So, let me get this straight. We're in a game stimulated world and for us to live, we need a visa." Hajito clears his throat trying to process what Chishiya had told the group earlier, "And based on what Mr. Chishiya told us, in order to go back to the real world, we need to collect a whole deck of playing cards. Each time we play a game, there would be a hardness level, a name for the game, and instructions on how to play the game. These games are life or death situations. If we fail to play we die, if we clear the games, we live and recieve a visa. The visas are given to us based on the number we have on the card: if we have a ace, we get one day to live and if we have a three, we get three days to live. If we run out of the amount of visa days, we get killed by a laser from the sky?"
"You're pretty fast catching up with the information, Sashi." Chishiya says, clearly impressed by the tone in his voice.
"I mean, Haji is the valedictorian on his class. He's pretty fast processing both important and unimportant information. He remembers maps, numbers, and many things quickly" Mizuka claims, patting Hajito's head, "Good job."
"Mr. Chishiya, are there any meaning to the cards? Like does the heart mean anything? Or is it just at random?" Yuue asks, looking out the window.
"Well, I overheard a guy talking about it at today's games. He said that each of the cards have a meaning. The clubs are for team games, diamonds are for mind using games, spades are for physical movement games, and the heart is for betrayal games." Chishiya answers, looking behind him.
"Betrayal? What is that suppossed to mean?" Kaoki scoffs and crossing his arms, "Obviously, they're lying to us, guys. They're trying to play a trick on us. How could you guys be so guilliable and believe everything a stranger we just met says?" Kaoki whispers to the people in the backseat but one seemed to be paying attention to him. "Now where are the others? I demand an answer!"
"There are many people at the Beach. The others, I don't know where they are. Some try and live on their own outside the Beach but we don't know if they could survive that easily without food and without a place to sleep. As far as we know, the Beach is somewhat safe to some extent. They can't protect us from not having to participate in a game and laser attacks when our visas run out, but they guarantee us hospitality so, it's a good place." Kuina explained. The others could see that Kuina was an inexperienced driver since the car was going side to side so much.
"I apologize for what Kao just said. He's stubborn at times." Mizuka apologized for Kaoki's sake. She was embarrassed by the fact that Kaoki would say such things to people who were generous enough to take them to somewhere safe, "Also, one last question. Do you guys have any warning for us when we get to the Beach?"
"Warnings, huh?" Kuina wondered aloud, tapping her fingers on the steering wheel of the car, "Well, we have two leaders in the Beach. Boushiya, or Danma Takeru and Aguni Morizono. Boushiya is incharge of the 'idealistic sect' as we like to call it and Aguni is incharge of the 'martial sect'. They don't seem to get along very well but they manage to keep everything under control. Boushiya is the top of the top, though. Just never get involved with Aguni's militants. They're the only ones in the Beach that has access to all the weaponry in the Beach. Also, many of them are very strong and in groups. All I can say is to not get involved with them."
"So the 'idealistic sect' and the 'martial sect'." Yuue tells herself, trying to remind herself not to get involved with the martial sect.
"Did you say something, Yuu?" Mizuka looked at Yuue, noticing that she had mumbled something under her breath. Yuue shook her head, "Okay, just tell me if you need to talk." "Thanks." Yuue whispered to Mizuka, squeezing her hand.
"We're almost there." Chishiya said silently, looking outside his window, "Kuina, I swear this isn't a good idea." He said under his breath towards Kuina, "It may not be safe for them. They're still kids."
"It'll be fine." Kuina whispers back to him, looking at the younger kids behind them, "Hopefully, Boushiya will accept them."
Chishiya sighed hearing what Kuina had to say and pulled his hood over his head again. Meanwhile in the back, Mizuka and Yuue looked at each other with worried looks, worried that something bad would happen. Hajito, noticing that Yuue and Mizuka were worried, grabbed their hands and shook their head to tell them that everything was going to be fine. Just then, they approached a big hotel like building. The building had been vandelized and over the original name, which was "Seaside Paradise Tokyo", it said in katakana, "Beach".
"So, this is the Beach." Kaoki said as he stepped out of the car. Yuue, Mizuka, and Hajito stepped out after him.
"Wait, don't move." Kuina said, holding her arm out infront of Kaoki as 3 men approached them. One with a long katana and many tattoos on his body, the one in the middle had a black tank top with military pants, the last one had long hair with many piercings on his face and held a big gun. Yuue froze, grabbing on to Hajito's left arm, scared of the gun.
"Well what do we have here?"
