I just came back home, and it was around 3 pm. Everyone was in the living room except Callie who was sleeping.
It was pretty quite until someone decided to let out a bomb. Which Stank!
"That's it who let out the gas bubble!" Arielle said sitting up from my lap.
"Wasn't me" I said
"I know damn well it was you Travis " Keyanna said in a light voice. Travis turned around
"How you know?"
"BecAuse I remember when i was younger I stayed over you're house for a day, it was you, me, Neita and Mel. August and Mama Sheila were at the doctors cuz he got the chicken pox. We were watching tv until someone farted and i thought it was Melvin until Neita told me it was you. And later on we had to share a bed cuz August had the chicken poxs, and neita ain't want no one in her room, so i was forced to sleep with you while Melvin had his own bed cuz he was being all aggy, and shit. Cuz he assumed i might've had the chicken pox too, because I was around August all the time. Well now at night you fell asleep and farted it stanked up the whole room. Luckily your fart woke Mel up cuz i guess he felt bad for me that he let me hop in the bottom bunk with him, and that's when he gave me this bracelet as in apology for me being mean to me. And That's when me and Mel stayed nice to each other. I remember when he hated when i called him Melly, but it sooned catched on☺ Speaking of Melly where the hell he at?" she said softly
After she said that I was loss for words half the stuff she said I ain't even know of. The only thing I was thinking of waz how the hell im gon explain this tuh her
"He back in NoLA"
"Oh really, he hasn't talk to me in awhile we were in contact until all of a sudden he told me he had to do one drop for this... Well i can't say who it is since he ain't want none y'all to know, but ever since then he ain't nevah talk to me" she said softly a little sad
"Mommy who Melly?"
"He's your uncle you saw him when you were real yung"
"Really!"
"hmmhh where yuh think yuh got that necklace from?"
I did not know Keyanna and Melvin were this close. The thing that's in my head right now is how imma tell her this. I gave Trav a look and I can see his eyes became watery. Then I saw Tima and her eyes became watery too .
" umm i-i gotta go to the bathroom" Travis said excusing himself
"Yeah lemme go check up on Callie" Tima said getting up.
"Ight well lemme go check to see if you're soup done "
I said eliminating myself from my discomfort. I checked her soup and saw it boil. I dumped the powder in, and then went to go check up on Trav and Tima. I found them both in the bathroom. Comforting then selves as they cried light tears.
"Y'all ight?"they nodded
If i have to admit my eyes became watery too, but I ain't wanna cry yet.
"Well imma be in the living room"
They nodded i was about to walk out till Trav stopped me.
"Aug you gonna tell her right?"
I nodded "but not alone"
They nodded, and straighten themselves out.
"Okay, i'm ready lets go" Tima said
"Ight"
...
~Downstairs~
Keyanna was laying on the couch like she was all morning breathing heavy still. The only thing different was she was on her phone
Keyanna.
I was on my phone tryna text Melly.
I wrote: Hey Melly it's me uhh Keyanna, Keeks, Koko, nana, keke, or Yanna as you call me☺. Just texted to see how's it going. Anyways I finally told August bout Arielle he was pissed like you said, but now he cool. Were actually staying wit him for a few days in Atl. I'm having a blast... Well anyways just wanted to let you know I missed you dearly, and I just wanna say wuts poppin. Well love yuh you're bff Keyanna
I was rereading then sent it. Right after, Aug came in with Tima, and Travis following.
"So Keyanna we gots to tell you something" Aug started
"K" was all I said
"Okay, well you know Mel right?" August asked as he cut the tv off
"Yeah what about him"
"Well you know how he use tuh sell rock?" Tima said
"Mmmmh so"
"Well one night August 31 h-h-he was sellin' when out of no where he got shot " August said with his eyes becoming watery. I looked into Tima's eyes and hers and Trav's eyes got watery
"He ight right?"
They looked at me then Travis spoke
"He got shot 6 times"
My eyes started becoming watery. Hoping what I thought was not true.
"Well where is he can I see him???"
"He dead" August splurted out
"My big brutha gone" he cried
My eyes began to spill with tears as my heart was crushed. Something just ain't feel right. Something was wrong. I was being comforted by Tima, Travis, and August.
I just aint feel right. All of a sudden I let go of them and then started wheezing. Oh no really now this gotta happen.
"Keyanna?" Travis asked
At this point i was wheezing uncontrollably.
"Y'all we gotta get her to a hospital i think she having in athasma attack" Tima screamed
All of a sudden I blacked out.
