Few Days Later

“La'Nisha!”
"August you are always on your phone!" I nodded "I know"
She sat on top of me and rubbed throughout my body.
"Well why did you call me?"
"Cause I was lonely."
She smiled "You wanted me around?"
"Yeah."
She took the phone away from my hand, and scrolled through my phone. I had nothing to hide, so I let her look.
"Who's Katie?" She questioned
"Huh?"
"Who's Katie she's in your text messages so who is she?"
I looked directly in her eyes.
"Well August who is she?"
I sighed,"Can I talk to you?"
"We're talking right now."
I could tell by the tone of her voice that she was serious. She was now sitting besides me, but when I tried to drag her back she aggressively moved her hands away.
I sat up now.
"She's this girl I use to talk to back in High School--"
"Did you like her?"
"Not really. I mean I thought back then she was badd and shit, but I ain't never had dem type of feelings that I force myself to have."
She frowned, "so you forced yourself to like this girl?"
"Yeah I didn't have a rightful mind set back then."
She nodded, "Did you date her?" I shook my head no.
"Well how would you know if you had feelings for her or not if you hadn't dated her."
"Cause when I see a chick I could tell if I got feelings for her. If I don't and they not there when I talk to that person then we ain't got no feelings."
"But you still could have dated her to know." She said
I nodded, "your right,"
"Well what stopped you from dating her? There had to be something."
I was silent.
"There was another girl, huh"
I remained silent.
"Lemme guess that other girl was Keyanna?"
Damn. I feel like she knows me or some type of shit like that. Must be some girl type shit where they can since drama.
"Yeah ma,"
"So is that what drove yall apart?" She questioned
"Yeah she seen me hangin' out wit' Katie and there was a whole bunch of shit that jus' happened."
"So. You could have just been talking to her, why would that be a big deal?"
"She was feelin' on me, "
She eyed me shaking her head.
"To make matters worse Keyanna hated Katie."
"Of course she did" La' Nisha scoffed at me
"Hey why you getting' mad--"
"Cuz that sh*t is foul as fuck. 'To make matters worse she hated Katie' of course she hated Katie!"
