Keyanna

It was late late late at night and I was at the studio. I was able to get a studio place in ATL, and I could send the songs I recorded to LA. I had a new person to help me with the vocals, and musical stuff his name is Gerald.

"Make your voice a little smoother." He informed me.

I nodded

" this is the saddest story I have ever heard. " he stopped me.

"You're doin' great you just keep raising your voice to a higher pitch at the end. If you can keep it at the same tempo like you did in the beginning it'll be perfect."

I nodded, the music played.

"This is the saddest story I have ever heard"

"Kay that was perfect try dragging the heard, ok?"

I nodded,

"This is the saddest story I have ever hearrdd"

"Perfect." I smiled yawning.

"You can record the rest I have to get home." He said getting up

"Ok, thanks Gerald."

"No problem, bye"

He trusted me alone an one of the rooms because I've been learning how to edit some of my own music. Which is really cool. I left the both and grabbed one of my bag of chips and listened. My voice blew through the speakers and I could hear a lot of parts in the song where my voice sounded rough.

I got up and went in the booth looking at the lyrics. I took a deep breath and let the lyrics flow.

Tell all the homies that your the one to blame
And when you speak my name
I'd like you to explain the lies you told me
That's why I walked away
I never did complain, you never heard me say
"You's a suck ass, busta ass"
If they ask tell them that, I ain't mad
I'm just sad it never worked out
Now you coming back, second chance fuck all that
You gave her what we had
And yet still there's no love loss here

The beat slowly played and I knew I had to get the chorus. I stood up and began to sing a random verse in my head sense I didn't make up a chorus yet.

"Fuck who you are, you got none of my heart, nor my soul" I shook my head knowing that sounded TERRIBLE.

"Relax Keyanna just sing from the heart, you got this" I informed my self. I put my headphones on and just sang what I felt tied this song together in one piece.

"Keyanna just sing whatchu' feel" I said

I came out the booth press play and went back inside.

Calm down, you know my heart (you know my heart)
Can't take anymore, damn
Said this before (said this before), yeah
Do you remember, do you remember you?
Do you remember, do you remember who you were?
Do you remember who you were?
Do you remember, do you remember who?
Do you remember, do you remember who you were to me?
Cause I do

I smiled cause I got it. I came out the studio playing the last verse and cutting parts that were unnecessary.

As it played I could feel a tear drop slip from my eye. I heard the door open which made me quickly wipe it away, and push my hair back. I let the song continue to play.
