Chapter 23: Consequences that I'm unprepared for

*Beep beep*

I groan to the sound of alarm beeping at the table side. I lazily stood up from the bed and my eyes widened at the time.

It's 10:00 am!

Damn! Hades is going to kill me. This is my fault! I shouldn't have stayed up late last night thinking about him. So shameful!

It's already been 3 or 4 days, but I just can't help myself but to think of it. He's done it again. He kissed me in the forehead once more. If it were a real kiss, who knows If I might be able to woke up later than now.

Missy on the other hand couldn't wake me up because her time shift had adjust earlier than mine. She woke up at 4 where I'm still sleeping and her job starts at 5. Which is why we both have different time schedule.

I rushed to the bathroom. I took a shower, letting the cold water runs through my body as I recall what happens last night. To be honest, I can't help but smile.

After the scene at the office Hades even walk me up to my room. We both talk about nonsense as we made our way here. But even though it's just a simple talk, it still feels special to me. I will treasure it during my days here.

When I finished bathing, I got out of the shower and fixed myself. My daily routines are already included in this activities.

Afterwards, I hurried to the doors and thought of my excuse for being late. I'm dead.

I rushed quickly to his office. I stopped in the front doors and knock loudly. Three times as usual.

With the seconds running, I never waited for Hades to answer, instead I opened the doors and went inside.

I dash to his desk with my eyes on the ground feeling so ashamed of myself for not waking early.

"I-I'm very sorry Lord Hades-" I suddenly bumped to him that made me fall to the ground.

Why do we always have to be like this?

I caress my forehead and he lend his hands to me for help. I finally turned to him and to my shock...

It's not Hades!

"Good morning my Lady, I'm Lord Apollo God of the sun."

I froze staring at this beautiful God right before me. His golden hair is brighter than the sun, his skin is white as fresh milk, his smile could make every woman to love him.

“H-how?” I murmured to myself unable to say anything.

Apollo chuckled and lend me his hand.

“Your body must've been hurt from crashing in to me. Please allow me to help you.”

He moved next to me and slid a hand to my waist. His presence sends electric shock to my body and my heart raise it's beating.

‘Why does it have to be him?’

“I can feel your nervous but please don't. It's not like I'm going to do something to you.” he whispered in my ear.

I slowly turned to him and gave him a slight smile. “Alright. Sorry for my behavior earlier I'm just really surprised. But thank you for helping me."

His smile grew wider. "You're welcome. How could I not help a beautiful Lady such as yourself?"

I blushed from his words that made me lower my gaze. Suddenly I felt his hands grab my face to face him. It gave me the opportunity to stare at those light blue almond eyes.
