Chapter 9: The gates of hell

It's already been couple of days and I can still Hades' voice ringing in my head. The way he said he's apology is so sincere and true. I couldn't get that incident off my mind.

So many things happened but I still couldn't find the girl that I'll be dealing in my first mission. I can't just sit in here and go with the flow. But how can I even find her here in the underworld?

The kingdom of the dead was wide. It's much big as the Pangaea theory created 108 years ago.

I was almost finished mopping the floors in the hallway when someone approach me and dropped a bucket of dust and dirt on the ground.

"Hey!-" I look up to her and notice that it was the other maiden who worked here.

She wore a maiden Gothic outfit too, but the color of her was pink and black match with her straight magenta hair and black leather high heels boots.

"Now what? You're gonna tell it to the king? Sure. Fine go. No one cares." She stifled an insulting smile and laugh together with her back up friends.

I turned my back to ignore them. They've been like this since the moment I got here. They are even the one who keeps glaring at me on the throne room when Lady Persephone announced my stay.

Suddenly, I felt a hand grabbed in my arms, I dropped the mop,  startled. The girl then pulls me towards her.

"So? Pretending to be a victim here aren't you? May I remind you that you became the gossip here In the underworld since the time you left Lord Hades office."

I know that she is talking about the time when I was accused of stealing something from her Majesty and how Hades punished me for it.

"So, don't try to be so offended. We are just protecting our king from your filthy plans" She added and pushed me on the ground. I slightly cursed in pain. I may not know who she is but I heard warnings about her and her group.

"She's a slut. Good for nothing pathetic slut." The blonde one says and the others nodded in response.

Their laughter filled the good silence in the hallway. I have been called by many insulting names but this is the most worst at all.

They're even worst than margareth and her group. They're more prone to verbal and emotional abuse. While margareth was prone to using physical abuse against me. So on second thought, margareth was still the worst I think.

"Hey!-" The magenta haired girl yelled. That's when I notice someone had thrown an egg directly to her face.

‘But who?’

"Want more sweety?" I turned around and saw missy, Vanessa, and the 10 yrs. Old Vicky, holding a bucket of eggs. The kept their fine smirk across their faces.

‘oh no’

"You wouldn't dare!"

"Oh trust me Ashley, I would." Then they start throwing eggs at them. Seeing this reminds me of the egg incident with margareth back in the mortal world, so I know how it feels like.

But they're cruel and mean so I think they deserved it? I guess? I hope i'm not being to evil on that part.

The 5 of them dash out of the hallway while being soaked in yolk. Missy, vicky and vanessa quickly approach me and helped me to stand up.

"Thank you"

"No problem. The last thing you want to do is to be their main target"

"I'm always the gossip of the kingdom. I'd already got used to it."
