I held his hand tight. His eyes were closed but he was still awake, just putting up with the pain.

“Just hold on a little longer. I'll find help. I promise. Just stay here please.” I utter. Hades only responds with a low groan.

I shortly got up and run somewhere to find help. But sadly, no one is here. My feet are tired from running, I felt getting breathless as I pant louder due to my tiredness.

I calm a bit, took a deep breath, and starts to walk instead when I felt cold steel that touches my foot. I looked down and saw the sword from earlier.

I quickly stoop down and examine it closely. It has the same symbol as the necklace the demon was wearing.

Then it hit me...

The knife and the necklace both have a bone-shaped design that Lord Thanatos was talking about. If I remember it right, I have read legends and stories about this dark possession that is cursed by witchcraft and all that. If it's under the dark magic, it'll be impossible to destroy by any regular weapon.

Not unless there's another one to destroy it. One that is blessed with the exact opposite of dark magic. If my theory is correct, then there's a chance Hades will win this war.

As I continue to analyze the solution, I heard a cold chuckle behind me.

“You're smarter than I thought, Princess”

I slowly turned to him then back away. There he stands with his devilish grins that grew wider, while his red eyes send daggers through mine.

Fuck.

“Why are you doing this?” I asked with my eyes bursting into tears. Then I continue wanting to strangle him right there. “Why did you do that to Hades?-”

“Wait. I did that to his royal majesty?” He suddenly laughs sarcastically making my hands curl into fists.

My blood is boiling at the sight of this demon. This evil creature. Why do these kinds of monsters even exist?

“I'm not the one who did that to him. It was no other than you”

Me? How dare he?

“Besides, I'm not the one who shoots the arrow at you. It was someone, you know perfectly... They might be holding a grudge against you.”

The arrow... I'm starting to hyperventilate. The arrow that shot me was the exact arrow that flew towards my direction the other time whom Lord Apollo and I thought it was Lady Artemis, but no.

I stared at the space thinking. Who could've done this? I didn't do anything to them, but why?

“Think about it. If he didn't suck out the poison in you then he might be free from suffering now wouldn't he? Yet again, you almost cease to exist. Likewise, Lord Hades had to be heroic about saving you. Is a God sacrificing his life for a deceased servant? Isn't that lovely?”

“That's because he has something to fight for. He fought for me, and I'll do the same for him.” I smiled bitterly while narrowing my eyes at him. “And you? What else do you have to fight for? Besides your pathetic bitterness and pitiful sorrows?”

From that moment, I knew I did a bad mistake. He march towards me with fires in his eyes, gripping my neck until I ran out of breath.

I held his hand trying to get away from his grip but to my luck, he's a demon. Something I couldn't stand a chance of winning.

“You wanna know what I'm fighting for?! Freedom. Freedom from this stupid hellish realm!”

He harshly threw me aside, which made me hit my back. I glance back at him with my eyes widened from watching him slowly change his form.
