I groaned at the pain that I felt as I got up from the bed. I cares my forehead but the dizziness never leave me. I exhale deeply and scan the surroundings. I noticed that I'm already at my room.
“But how did I get here?”
Still replaying the thoughts in my head when I heard the door opened. I turned my attention to the visitor and saw Missy and Vanessa holding a tray with foods.
“Good thing you're already awake.” Missy placed the tray on the table then looked back at me.
“What happened to you?” She asked with concern.
“I-i I can't remember.”
“Well you might be surprised of what happened when you were still unconscious.” I glance at Vanessa who's wearing that grin on her face.
“I-i don't understand. What happened? How long was I in bed?”
The two of them stared at each other not sure who'll be the one to talk.
“Angela... You've been out for 3 days straight.” Missy stated. I stared at her completely baffled.
'How did these happen?'
“I-i... I'm sorry.” I mumbled.
“It's ok. It's not your fault.” Vanessa came to me, rubbing my back to comfort me.
“I-i guess... I'm really sorry. I've been a burden to both of you.”
“No you're not. It's fine.” Missy added.
“Which reminded me. Is there something going on between you and Lord Hades?” Vanessa asked while standing still. Her question left me dumbfounded. For a second there, my heart once again pound faster like a racing car on the road.
“Umm. T-there's nothing going on between us. W-why do you ask?” I replied with my voice almost cracking.
“Well, for starters, Lord Hades was worried sick about you. He's the one who brought you to your room, and he's been checking you out lately. He also asked us about when will you wake up like a thousand times for the whole 3 days.”
“And just now before you woke up, he came to your room to see if you're alright. That actions doesn't seem like 'nothing'”
“I-i d-don't know what you two are talking about.” I stared down at my bed when I feel my cheeks turn into a shade of red. It felt weird but at the same time, It felt overwhelming.
'He's worried about me.' I want to believe it's true but I can't help myself but to doubt their words.
Is it possible? The Lord of the underworld is worried for a servant like me? My heart wants to believe it's true but my mind says otherwise.
“Really? You know secrets like this won't stay hidden for long.” Vanessa responds.
“you and Lord Hades are not dating aren't you?”
Missy's question just felt like I was splashed with freezing water that made my body unable to move even if I try to.
It's really impossible. We have no relationship.
