Chapter 31: The beginning of the real Battle

-Angela-

“No Angela! You will not go alone!” Missy spitefully grabbed me in the arm and turn me to her. I stared at her in shock trying to break away.

“We can't let him escape-”

“I know, but we can't let you die either in the hands of that demon.”

I turn away rolling my eyes and scratching my forehead sighing to keep my patience.

“Fine. Just let me get that necklace above that tree” I pointed upwards were the necklaces were–up in the tree and too far to reach.

Missy looked up frowning. “How did that even end up in there?”

“Tisiphone says she dropped it when one of the minor demons launched towards her.”

The furies all went down to the underground to keep the chains locked. Lord Thanatos and Lord Hermes came in search of the superior and the remaining demons scattered around.

I wanted to help them search for him, not because I wanted to be heroic, but because THAT DEMON is part of my mission. I still need to figure out why did he chose to be one, but I can't do that with Missy eyeing my every move.

“That's very impossible to reach” Vanessa murmured and Luke agreed with her.

“I think the best way to reach it is to climb up?” I suggested, all staring at them waiting for their answer.

“I supposed yes–”

“Good, Missy you should do it. After all, you're the only one who knows how to climb up high” I smiled mischievously.

Missy raised an eyebrow, but I smiled at her more to assure her everything is fine. She sighs and went to the trunk.

I followed her behind, pulling out a red ribbon in my pocket. Because her other hand isn't moving I hastily tied the ribbon around it, I held her wand to make it look like I'm holding her and pulling her with me.

With Luke being my assistant, he came behind me tying the ribbon around the street, while I distracted Missy about how are we going to take it.

When Luke is done, he went back beside Vanessa trying not to laugh. He motioned me to go, so I looked at Missy with an apologetic look.

“I'm sorry. I'll be back alive. I promise”

“Pardon–”

But I didn't let her finish and run as fast as I can to reach the Elysium field. I heard Missy shout my name but she couldn't chase after me because her hand was tied up. Another second he was cursing Luke and arguing with him.

When I reached the Field, I could no longer feel familiar with it, because of how a mess it was. I saw some souls still crying and traumatized caused by the war that happened.

My heartfelt heavy for them, they never deserve this. Their home was ruined.

But I know that Hades will come back, and he'll fix it. He'll never allow his home to be like this for eternity.

I back a few steps away when I suddenly felt my back hit on something.

“It's dangerous to be alone at times like this.” said a voice behind me in his very severe tone.

A voice I'm very familiar with.

“Fuck you! Let me go!” I cursed at Luke and Vanessa, for being part of this ridiculous plan, but most of all, I'm cursing Angela for leaving once again.
