-Hades-

*Flashback*

I laid down in my bed feeling tired. I stared at the ceiling recalling everything Cronus had just said, the way he's eager to kill her made my blood boiled.

Furthermore, I sat up in bed out of nowhere, I grip the silky bedsheets out of irritation. Just imagining his face in my mind makes me want to split the universe in half.

I scoffed to myself, as if I would let him kill her without getting to pass through me. Moreover, I will never let him kill her.

I know she's just a soul who's waiting to be judged, but she's more than that to me. I couldn't bear the idea of losing her.

It's funny how I feel like this had already happened before. The feeling that strikes me over and over again, the feeling I couldn't explain, but I had been dying to feel for hundreds of years.

The loneliness I felt got replaced by overwhelming feeling ever since she stepped foot in my kingdom. I admit, we both didn't have a good start, but I was still thankful for that because this is where everything leads now.

And I won't let anyone ruined it.

Out from the corners of my eyes, I saw a glowing light from the outside heading straight to my room.

‘They're here.’

I watched as the windows slowly opened, and illuminating light crashed to the ground. I looked at them in boredom. Completely emotionless.

Afterwards, three women who wearing a black robe, stood up straight with their chin up looking severe as ever. They looked at each other, then nods. They slowly remove their hoods and walk towards me.

“We come to speak with you, Hades.”

“And why is that Atropos?”

Atropos and her sisters blink for a few seconds as if confused to why am I being like this.

I never once tried to disrespect the fates. And never once I tried to speak with them in glacial tone. That's because it is thought to all Gods that we should respect these three goddesses and never to act brutal in front of them.

Zeus had done that once, and Imagine my surprise when he's beaten to death just because he defies his fate to be forgotten by mortals for the next hundreds of years.

It is true, though. Mortals had forgotten about the existence of gods, and new religions are born. Out of 100%, only 3% of the people in this world are still believing in our existence. Mostly Greeks, of course.

Every story about us had turned into mythology, but still mortals serve it as a lesson they could rely on too. The only legend that still lives on to their history that has connection with the myths of the Gods is the Trojan war history. Other than that, there is nothing.

Mortals will forever believe that gods are only nothing my mythological creatures, only death could tell. When their time comes, they'll know the answer to their question.

Despite being not known in the mortal world, I think it's best if it's like this. No chaos. My world is different from them. Two worlds with boundary, nothing will tear it apart and will never once collide. It's better for them not to know about our existence, otherwise everything will lead to dangerous disasters.

“This is important, Hades.” said Atropos sternly.

“How Important?”

“We’ve come to explain the dreams you've been having every single night, Lord of the Underworld.”
