At the bathroom
The underworld
-Angela-
I had no escape the moment that the door was opened with a strong force revealing a God wearing a black robe and messy hair.
"You?"
Just like me he couldn't hide his expression this time. I turned my back to him abruptly. My heart is beating loudly.
Oh gods, after experiencing the humiliation earlier, why add up something Immediately. Hades hasn't cooled down since the incident at the throne room. Now, he might reconsider my staying at the palace.
What if he told me to stay at Tartarus? No, I don't want to be burnt alive.
"What the hell are you doing here?" The irritation in his voice made me nervous and my hands began to sweat.
"I-um. Well, it's a funny story actually-"
"I don't see what's funny about this."
He replied in a cold tone. Guess I can't joke around with him, can i?
"You see-I–I um.."
"You what?"
When he began to move in my direction with such a heavy step, my mind was at a loss for words. My face is also perspiring at this moment in addition to my hands.
I took a two step backwards but that didn't stop Hades from coming closer. I plan to run but I remembered, this King is a good gripper of hands. It would only make my situation worse.
"Umm. Hades- I mean my king, please don't do that"
"Don't do what?"
"You. Don't come any closer"
I closed my eyes waiting for a strong impact from him but unfortunately it didn't come. I opened my eyes and caught a glimpse of him narrowing his eyes at me.
"I'm sorry" I muttered, but Hades remained silent. I tried to hide my discomfort while I gazed at the damp tiles, praying to all God's to teleport me out of here.
I didn't intend to come here at all. Never have I. However, I was afraid that if Hades discovered me in his room reading his books, he would scold me or, better yet, scream at me.
"You will never do this again, maid. Understood?" I turned to face him.
"I cannot do that sir."
"Why not?" Hades scowled, which caused me to shiver in place.
"Ms. Mary told me that cleaning your room would be my responsibility."
Hades' eyes widened. "What?"
"And your office too"
I locked eyes with him, and none of us did bother to say another word. I sighed to myself. Why is this silence always resulting in awkwardness between us?
"Well then. Bye" I quickly said, turning away to leave when he suddenly grabbed my arm.
"What?"
"You're not leaving"
I scowled at him like my patience is about to burst... Didn't he want me here in the first place? I irritably attempted to pull my arms away, but he prevented me from doing so.
"Let go of me!"
But rather than responding, he only tightened his hold on my arm.
"Let go!"
As Hades grinned at me and purposefully released his grip on my arm, my foot unintentionally slipped on the wet tiles, knocking me off-balance.
Even though I was already going to fall into his pool, I grabbed his arms for full support and dragged him along with me before it happened, causing the two of us to fall into the water together.
