Chapter Eleven.
(Y/N) awoke to a strong hand stroking the side of her cheek and a deep voice muttering near her ear. She didn't flinch or move away because she felt a sense of comfort beside her. in the room with it's echoey walls.
"(Y/N)?" Miles spoke, his voice soft and careful not to disturb her if she was still sleeping. The girl fluttered her eyelids open and her eyes focused on the figure before her.
"Miles. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep. God, this is embarrassing." She mumbled, pinching the bridge of her nose and sitting up from Miles' bed. His thin fingers lingered on her face as he noticed the dried tears on her cheek and remembered how distraught she had been. (Y/N) shifted her weight away from Miles and attempted to hide her pale face.
"Are you alright?" He uttered.
"Yea.. better now." She replied, coldly. The two remained silent and no eye contact was kept. They averted their gazes onto his walls covered with band posters and polaroids.
"Well, I should go now-"
"Stay?" He interrupted. (Y/N) haltingly turned back to Miles. She looked his face up and down before hesitantly nodding.
"So.." She said with her lips pursed. Miles paid no attention and nonchalantly leaned back on his bed. (Y/N) took notice and cleared her throat. He looked up.
"Oh. Sorry. Um.. do you wanna talk about it?" He asked, trying to become more comfortable with talking about feelings.
"Not about the stuff with my mom but maybe about me yelling at you. I- I just wanted to apologize. I overreacted." She sighs and he perks up his posture. Chapter Eleven.
